I got my first watch today from the platinum subscription and i'm not very impressed. Got a nautis Commander that's supposed to be worth 600 usd according to its website but actually retails for around 300-400. I was expecting to get something that actually goes for 500+ when i' paying 300 for it

I’m my opinion you have to be comfortable accepting that the watch is really only worth the subscription price, and sometimes lower. At the end of the day it’s just a surprise watch. The “over $xxx” value is just a marketing game. That said, $300 is a little steep for ME under those conditions…but everyone is different. You can get some nice watches, but you’re not getting a steal.

@@WatchWitt Yeah I agree. I think the black tier is a better deal in general. Even if you're not happy with the watch, it's less money down the drain.

There are some cool watch groups on Facebook that do trading. You don’t need to be a part of the official WG one, but it does help because those collectors are like minded. Plus, many times subscribers will see a watch somebody else got and like it better than theirs…just an easy trade because you know what each other paid for it.

Witt! I literally just got this watch in the mail today! But mine had a leather strap, and a white face. I have to say, I actually really like it... it's a really distinctive style. The color combination I got was a bit more contemporary though.

That’s what I mean…if you’re a Spider-Man fan, or a Guggenheim ceiling fan (like this is modeled after), then this is your watch! Some of the other color variations are more aesthetically pleasing I believe.

Haha! I needed sound effects! #$%@*! I would never choose it either. It did look nice on my wrist, though...but still. Some of the other color variations seem to suit the design a little better too. I can usually appreciate what a piece has to offer outside of my personal opinion of it. That's what I love about the opportunity to review so many watches!
