This is one of my favorite ways to see the horses on Working Horses with Jim. Not that I don’t enjoy ALL your vlogs but just focusing on the beautiful scenery, the sounds of the horses shoes on the tarmac and of course hearing Abby giggling as Dad and the “B” team go by is priceless to me. I just can’t thank you enough for sharing your day on the farm…or off the farm because a country gal like me just can’t get enough of this living it country content. What a treat…and the horses are looking good and feeling quite handsome as I see them. Do you think when the working team goes by the other horses they are laughing with their winnies or just saying hi? Just wondering what’s in the minds of those being left behind to lollygag is all!!!:):):)

There is little in the world lovelier than the sound of a team of horses trotting down the road. Anyone get to 21:13 without hearing Robert Frost in their head? Two roads diverged in a yellow wood... and I, I took the one less traveled by. Baron is really starting to fulfill the promise he showed early on. He is already a dependable and trustworthy horse that you can walk away from in the woods, and know he won't move, or cut behind with a chainsaw and know he won't start and pinch you between the logs. Wow, to almost sit down like that and get up and keep backing the cart like nothing happened, that is an honest horse. There is little in this world that moves me like an honest and courageous horse who gives all he has. Okay, did the video go too long, or did something go wrong? Everyone okay?

I wonder , if I remember correctly , Barons last owner's son had a problem with Baron , I wonder if he watches these videos and see's what a wonderful horse he is , at this point he is still a stallion and still gentle around his handler ( if handler is the right word)
@suzanneyoung8011 Жыл бұрын
The prior owner is Amish, so I doubt he or his son is watching. The son(s) who handled him were likely very young. Baron has improved a lot. Yes, handler is a correct term.
@JChaos1120 Жыл бұрын
That's a little rude. Baron's last owner had younger kids, and Baron was to work alongside a mare. Mares are in heat, a lot, and Baron being a stud means that even with his harness on, his brain hormones and instincts are telling him to mate. Additionally, if you've watched, mares don't necessarily like stallions, so it was stressful for the previous owner's mare, too. Yeah Baron is great with Jim, but he's mainly surrounded by other males and frequently worked, and not used for breeding very often. I swear y'all just really don't understand how dangerous a stallion can be. Imagine a Geo Metro with an attitude and a mind of its own, and it can kill you with one kick.
@sueupham2519 Жыл бұрын
we believe Barron is doing so good is because of the patient gentle touch that Jim has,,I do think Brenda 's daily brushing and reassuring helps all of their horses,,she has the nurses training advantage..😅

@@JChaos1120 Give the guy a break. He didn't mean it as a rude comment. I certainly didn't take it that way. Your response was more so, and explaining how a stallion is around mares wasn't necessary.
