Yes, this chassis can accept almost any 1/10 body set Tamiya sells.

Have you ever had to send out search parties to find missing drivers lol 😝 that course is freaking huge guys, and that xv-02 handled it super well, i was really surprised by how well it handles that torturous track, i enjoyed it so much i watched it twice. Niiiiiiiiiiice video guys.

Ya, it's really fun. As far as tracks, not that we know of. Unfortunately, Rally isn't the most popular segment of the RC hobby - which is odd because it really if alot of fun.

Ya, all those mistakes were me trying to push the car when, really, I didn't need to. So easy to drive that slow was fast. Not sure what else is out there to match it. My 01 is uber dialed but this beat the socks off of it.

I have the same electronics in my 01 - the 02 isa much more balanced car out of the box, making it much easier to drive fast.

It really is a good time. Very relaxed and everyone is willing to help out if you have any questions. We just finished up an event yesterday (4/16) and, again, very fun time. You should come out and join us next time!

Having never done this type of Rally racing again, I was a little concerned about being able to keep up with it. However, after 2-3 practice runs, it was pretty easy to keep up with.

Maybe you could comment on your take on different differentials...the manual states that different gear ratios (39t/40t F/R) should only be used on loose ground, and that for a grippy track a center diff should be used. However if I have different gear ratios F/R and a center diff, will the different gear ratios F/R have any effect? If yes, how on road and how on gravel? Thx 🙏

I think you can keep the F/R equal if you are running a center diff. You can experiment with different fluids to control the amount of drive to the F/R - seems like it might be a better solution for different track conditions than the different gear ratios. Will be trying a center diff at the next event.

Our course is quite flat so there's no need to chase the car, but we do need to be close to it during some course sections. So yes, we do need to follow it at times.

What body did you use? Tamiya? What paint number did you use? I saw a video of this painting somewhere, but I can't find it anymore.

We used the Tamiya Lancia Delta Rally body set - 51401. While the body set calls for the PS-1 White paint, we decided to go a different route and use Tamiya's PS-12 Silver paint instead. Actually really liking the look of this version!

Will it fit standard sized servo? Every referenced pictured shows low profile servo installed.

It will, actually. There are spacers included to help mount a standard-sized servo.

I did not. I ran them earlier in the day but they weren't as good as this set of Schumachers. Tires are everything in Rally - the kit tires aren't all that.

LMAO I’m tired just watching this 😂 I need something like this near me It’s usually just me messing around an improvised course around a baseball diamond or whatever hard pack dirt and gravel area I find. Lately I’ve been tempted to just take my current rally car to my local off road carpet track on a practice day. Maybe when I get my XV02 👍🏽

Weights might be different depending on the body and electronics you use, but mine weighed in at 1440g.

Thanks. The XV-02 is the same wheelbase as the 01. The rear body mounts are the same as well, however the fronts are much farther forward than those on the 01. Not sure if that info will help or not.

@@Competitionx : The mounting points look like they're similar to most touring cars, whereas the FF-04/XV-01 had the front mounts much further back.

Actually ran the XV-01 prior to the 02 - same track layout, same tires, same basic electronics package. In a nutshell, way more consistent and easier to drive around the entire track. A little nose heavy in the jumps but that's an easy fix. Tried a few things each run but, in all honesty, it was the best right out of the box. Great car.

My XV-01 is quite good, but I went 8 seconds faster than it on the first time out - no tuning out of the box other than tires. We have another event coming up soon so I should have more data soon.

About 26mm if you remove the foam padding. We're using one of these: bit.ly/38TLc3D - Good size, inexpensive and PLENTY of power. Certainly one we suggest for this car as well.

LOL, you're probably right. Only thing: it's hard enough trying to navigate it while up high - hard to see the corners. I can't imagine doing it FPV.

Ya, during the summer time Riverside doesn't get much moisture. And it's hot. And dusty. Summer is not the greatest time of the year for Rally racing :(
