I learned your sister and brother were missing years ago while living in Georgia. I prayed every day that they be found, and be healthy. I was devastated hearing they were found, but not healthy. Please know that your Dad Charles, Tylee, and JJ are not a spectacle to me. They are beautiful Angels. I know Charles is holding Tylee, and Jj in his arms, while living in the presence of our Lord and Savior. My prayers extend to you Colby, for your loss. Kay and Larry my heart and prayers go out to you both, as well as your family. I know this is not over for you, but the first step is complete. My prayers will continue. For Tammy's family I pray for some peace, though your loss has been compounded, by the loss of Tammy's Mother. Hopefully the relationships with Tammy's children can be healed. I didn't know about JJ's therapy dog Bailey. I'd always wondered what little JJ must have felt when it looked like his caring sister Tylee 'just disappeared.' How did he process that? He must have felt so alone. Glad to hear Kay's victim impact statement because I hadn't put all the 'things' together, a child with autism losing his father, familiar home, beloved dog, being relocated to another state, alienated from his loving grandparents and having his medications withdrawn.

Judge Boyce is an exemplary jurist and most notably human. His patience over a justifiable lengthy impact statement was heartwarming. His attentiveness to each and every memory and stabbing pain that poured from Kay’s shattered heart was evident as he recorded copious notes throughout. All the while taking darting glances at the defendant in search for the slightest sense of humanity. His disgust over objections to the words of a grieving grandmother spoke loudly. His kind smiles as Kay struggled to find her closing thoughts further cemented his human side. Finally, his sentencing was absolutely the greatest outcome that we could have hoped for and the fact he didn’t wish Lori “good luck” as is often done just before being carted away to a new and deserved existence. God Bless you, Judge Boyce and Godspeed!!

I said it before and I still believe that as long as Lori believes she’s in the right that she will be able to live each day.
