@RebeccaTurner-ny1xx because you are not a Samoan nor a Pacific Islander I know you speak out of your own limited knowledge of our traditions and culture. The ceremony is to bestow an honorary title and nobody given an honorary title is obliged to do anything. It is out of respect and acknowledgment of another nation's ruler. And no its got nada to do with his bank account. Hes a special guest of our nation. I'd say stick to what you understand. To think there's trees out there dying to give you oxygen.

It's wonderful to see how proud the Samoans are of their culture , and the loving respect for their King Charles 3rd and Queen Camilla. They don't teach their children to be ashamed of their culture so we should follow their example & start standing up for ours.

Lol right but the Chinese never tested bombs nor used the Pacific as bases during war. China isn't an enemy to us. The Western World just want us to push that narrative. So we're not going to hate or snub a nation for no reason.

He is there as the Head of the Commonwealth that consists of 56 states, 14 of which he is still King. He is there to strength geopolitical ties within the region and to try and influence pacific island nations to keep China at bay while remaining loyal to their western allies.

Nothing like they have been getting since colonization. While he drives around in his gold carriage Pacific Islanders will be drowning. At least Lidia Thorpe had the courage to tell him how she felt instead of kissing his but.

The King also receives money from a private estate called the Duchy of Lancaster,, external which is passed down from monarch to monarch. It covers more than 18,000 hectares of land in areas such as Lancashire and Yorkshire, as well as property in central London. Worth £654m, it generates about £20m a year in profits." (BBC)
