A Georgia man is being retried for allegedly shooting and killing his friend, leaving her body in a park. This is the second trial against Austin Tybre Ford, 22. A judge had to declare a mistrial on May 1. Jurors convicted Ford of theft by taking, and one count of concealing the death of another, but they deadlocked on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault. They could not agree on whether or not he killed Tori Lang, 18.

Ms Tanya Lang, I adore you for publicly sticking up for your family. Something tells me that if we sent you to Washington DC, you’d have this country sorted in a matter of days. Bless you. I hope your heart, and the hearts of your family, will be able to heal in time. Tory was lucky to have you in her corner.

@@TeaSpiracy Do you have any idea what it takes to get 30 days in jail for contempt? Darrell Brooks's behavior x 10 without any remorse. You may hate her son but she, as a person, did express how sorry she was. Yes, excuses, but amongst that was also remorse. She didn't distribute pictures, she realized how wrong it was, and it was the first time she violated a court order. Objectively, her sentence is actually on the heavier side, given the facts, but the judge just wanted her to physically feel the consequences of putting the jury's safety in jeopardy. I think this whole ordeal has definitely taught her why disobeying a judge and committing crimes is not a good plan.

His family said he had a big heart? He lied to authorities and hindered the investigation. He had a glow about him during the sentencing that didn't diminish after sentencing. There was a slight smirk on his face (not a smile of relief as you would expect) when the judge declared a mistrial. The smirk was very quick and then gone. I don't doubt he killed her.

Austin Ford didn't pull the trigger on that Gun ... it's a sad situation that he gets blamed for a sad case of young suicidal Girl ... He smirked when the judge declared a mistrial. An innocent person would have had a look of relief' not a smirk. I didn't watch the trial and if there wasn't conclusive evidence then yes it should be not guilty and I would've voted that way. Gotta wonder why he lied in the first place. In fact I plan to watch a the replay of the trial. He clearly isn't a good person. @@Benzsportspicks_CriminalMedia

Now we know why the defendant is the way he is. The mom blaming everyone else for her actions and not taking responsibility. SMH If there were several jurors falling asleep the court would have noticed, the state would have noticed, the defense would have noticed, the bailiffs would have noticed... She was going to use that juror info for something shady.

What a shame! I realize that this was a difficult case due to the lack of physical evidence, but I really feel they should have used prosecutors who could have ahown a bit of conviction behind what they believed to be true. The defense lawyer did his job and did it well, which in this case worked. Does it mean that justice was served? No! Absolutely not and it breaks my heart that the family will never have the justice and closure that both Tori and they deserve.

WOW!!! Mom and accountability have never met, clearly! So, it’s not difficult to understand why the son can’t see his wrongdoings. Mom even had the nerve to take it a step further and blame the assistant defense attorney, saying the assistant defense attorney told the mom she had “special privileges”, and was allowed to have her phone on, in airplane mode. (🙄 Hard eye roll) The mom even made it worse by telling the judge how “people have said things about the family”, implying negative things, but that she stood up for them and came to their defense. Perfect mom…..So, let’s throw the family under the bus, all in the name of saving yourself….that will show the judge what type of person you are! 🤦🏾‍♀️ The 🍎 doesn’t fall far from the 🌳 in this case!

Juror falling asleep happen all the time. It’s not the first. Usually another juror will wake them up. Or the officer of the court will, and sometimes they will take a break just to get eveyone going. You gotta rmeber those people will be there for 6-8 weeks long hours. And have to listen to everything!!! We have the power to skip and stop and move on they can’t. So yeah jurors fall asleep. It’s not new.

I don’t know if the defendant shot her but why he did his actions afterwards is very questionable! Then the lies he told. Don’t think the judge listened how hard it is on Tory’s family. He should get at least 15 years, minimum, IMO. He wasn’t a friend. I truly do not understand why Tory would want to hurt herself or wow, kill herself?! Sounds like she had a pretty good life & lots of love, support. I’m just wondering what was in her mind. If she had a true friend, someone would talk to her, get her help, the defendant should have tried to get her to talk to a professional if she felt unstable. Pray for peace & love for the families. 🙏❤️

Maybe the sleeping jurors was her perception due to her heightened emotional state. Some of the evidence was very tedious. Maybe someone dropped off for a minute and that triggered her anger. Lying about how the whole event came about however and not aknowledging that she deliberately turned the phone on and deliberately took a photo of the jurors did not look good to say the least.
