Charlie Adelson was convicted for plotting the murder of his former brother-in-law and FSU law professor Dan Markel. Adelson hired three people to kill Markel - Markel was gunned down outside his Tallahassee home in 2014. At the time of his murder, Markel was in a brutal divorce and custody battle with Adelson’s sister, Wendi Adelson. Days after his conviction, Adelson’s mother - Donna Adelson - was arrested for the same charges Charlie has just been found guilty of. Charlie will be sentenced Tuesday and is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison.

You are correct. The Majority of the Group -Think comment section, getting so much enjoyment and glee out of watching another person‘s demise is disturbing. That said, not inferring this guy is innocent nor that Dan should’ve been murdered. He should not have been. Yet Dan was no saint and neither was his mother. They all, both sides were equally, involved in the ugly, nasty, custody battle. Dan, after his other attorney quit, wanted his new attorney to allow him to go to Wendy ‘s house on the days he didn’t have custody and say good night to the children. That shows the level of insanity they all were involved in. Wanting that AFTER years of dispute! He also wanted to force Wendy and her entire family to have a kosher kitchen. If he wanted that, no issue, yet to feel the entitlement to impose/ force that onto Wendy is revealing. It was a bitter ugly battle, and it ended in one opponent’s death, yet all opponents contributed to the ugly battle, equally. Dan’s mother makes sure her book is featured in all segments she appears in. Buy my book! Reality, making money off her murdered son.

Imagine having one son who is the apple of your eye and two precious grandchildren. Then, in an instant, they are taken from you. Not to mention, your former daughter-in-law and her family attempt to defame you and your deceased son. What a heart wrenching experience. The Adelson family has not only killed Dan but stripped years from the lives of Dan’s parents. Going through such incredible grief, suffering, and stress at their age is bound to shave a significant amount of time off their life span. The Adelson’s destroyed many lives that day.
