That alone should have been a red flag for the officers that the boy has some mental health issues and that you should probably look into this case a bit more seriously. I mean, he is just such a classic case. Kid from a broken home, bullied at school. He is quiet, doesn't have a lot of friends, dad is clearly irresponsible. I feel like Colt could have come out of that house waving a massive red flag around and the officers would have still missed it. There were just so many warnings and signals that were ignored.

I think this whole situation is way more f d up than some people even realize. The mom is actually crazy, once tying her own mom to a chair and leaving her there for 24 hours, threatening to kill the dad and then herself, said she would specifically kill Colt to get back at her mom. This child has seen some sick things and was surrounded by crazy people. People have described the kid as “traumatized” and the grandfather even said the dad pushed the kid to do this. The dad talked about Colt being bullied often and being worried about him so he wanted to teach him about “gun safety”! The only thing this father was teaching his child was how to shoot guns when the kid was being bullied at school. Thats when Colt probably started having those thoughts and planned on doing it. This dad literally drove his son to do this

Seems like they should have looked into the posts and the family way more before showing up to the house and saying, 'Oh, he denies saying whatever it is they said he said, cool.'
