@@Bernardo-qi4np they need to have a verdict to even get to the sentencing. And to get to the verdict, they need the jurors to deliberate. And for the juror to deliberate, they need to conclude the trial phase - which isn’t even over. You also have to keep in mind that there’s a codefendant who will be tried separately. So that could possibly prolong the sentencing for Melly even after the trial is over and a verdict is made. There’s a lot of factors for a reason.

Way too early to tell if this case will go one way or another still a few more weeks before we know the judge told the jury that it will wrap up by the end of July the prosecution case is going to be mostly circumstantial evidence and the defense stance will be trying to poke holes in the prosecution‘s case and create reasonable doubt hard to tell how the jury would perceive either side .

If you really believ any of this you don’t pay attention or know how to decipher facts from BS. The states case is very week. The police screwed it up, the sheriff’s not so bad but not great. The prosecution has been horrible and no evidence he was at the scene at all. They have him getting in to a car and his phone in that vehicle not proof enough to convict for a double murder

In contrast, the DNA evidence almost appeared to be lulling him to sleep. (Me too! LOL) Great cross by the defense regarding the untimely submission of the DNA evidence, BTW. Even the judge took notice of the increased number of breaks he’s requesting today. After lunch, the defendant was much in need of a toothpick. 😂 I think he forgets that the world is watching. Then later someone in the galley gave him a case of the giggles, which he could not quite hide.
