I do not know if you are aware that the cop involved and made a jackass of himself is actually a Detective. His name is Detective Bryan Gillis with the Louisville Metro Police Department. Here on yt look for this show/channel: Lawyer You Know, and then you will find this lawyer showing AND reading this news article: BRAND NEW DETAILS: Eyewitnesses Reveal What Really Happened With Scottie Scheffler’s Arrest. (This news article is dated May 19,2024 by Alan Bastable). ALSO, you do NOT get released for a felony against a cop on your own recognizance. Which means that Detective Bryan Gillis, the county prosecutor, that LMPD police chief, and the others in connection with those officials are only wanting any/all “fame” on themselves. they all have their body cameras on they were actively investigating a crashing investigation. All the body cameras were on and there were several in the incident. In the United States of America you don't have to tell the truth unless you're forced to. In a couple weeks when the fanfare dies down the charges will be dropped because the prosecution can't get a conviction. Imagine if this was just a regular dude. They would have ruined his life. They've been ruining people's lives for years and nobody's listening. I know nobody's fond of black lives matter but they really were pointing out the injustices that are happening. The charges will be dropped a lawsuit will be made he'll get a bunch of money he doesn't really need. And Life Will Go on. In Life Will Go on I mean night sticking the colorful will continue

To be fair, remembering to turn on your body cam is difficult “in the heat of the moment”. On the other hand, this particular incident is absolute bullshit. The office created “the heat of the moment” and exasperated and lied at every turn.

In 2024 There are approximately 700k full time officers. 700,000 at 40 hours a week is 28 million hours a week of footage. You can't store all that without it getting expensive which means more taxes for us and people want to defund the police. Then there is reviewing the footage to cut down on storage which is even crazier because you have to hire and pay people to go through 28 million hours a week of footage.

That chief is a known liar! She also has failed to turn her camera on during another incident. They learn from her. "While on the stand, Chief Gwinn-Villaroel testified under oath that she was not wearing her body camera on scene. She said that if she had the device, she would have turned it on, per the department's policy. However, the attorney for the victim showed evidence that she was in fact wearing her body camera the day of the crash."

Why would this dingbat police officer want to prevent a player from entering the golf club? The officer was just on a power trip. I'm sure he didn't know who Scheffler was, but he could see the car was marked as a car that was transporting a player to the tournament. So there was zero reason for him not wave the player (Scottie) ahead to enter the property.

I'd call arresting him on a felony charge that carries a 5-10 year prison sentence extremely malicious. Did you read the police report and see the video? The cops whole story is a lie. He's proven to be a person who cannot be trusted. How can you take his word for anything. Not a very strong witness in court from here on out. He's a detective. Defense lawyers are going to have a field day with him on the stand from here on out. But the city can't ever admit they made a mistake so they won't fire him now. They'll wait 6-8 months, put him on desk duty and try to quietly get rid of him. Falsifying a police report is still a crime if the cop commits it.

If im reading between the lines here they are going to dismiss this case....the police officer was obviously disciplined and on June 3rd that will the end of it. That's what I heard there. They can't say that right now though. The court date has to be respected. EVEN if there's a deal to drop in place....they can't talk about that now.

LMPD prosecutor should drop all charges. The officer didn’t follow proper body cam department policy and Scottie was following the directions of another officer. The publicity is a black eye for the city.

Watched the latest video showing the incident. The report from the officer has no resemblance to what the video shows Officer is clearly lying and wildly exaggerating the incident. The officer got his feelings hurt and went full bully mode. The city district attorney should drop the charges, apologize and charge the officer with filing a false report. Charges will probably be dropped but doubt they'll hold the officer accountable beyond a slap on the wrist for the bodycam. This is just one more reason that when I'm on a jury I don't believe police officers testimony unless it's backed with other indisputable evidence.

If an officer runs up behind my vehicle in Louisville and tries to bust my windshield and fakes an injury in the process, I’m the one charged with felony assault? I also want to take a moment to thank LMPD for keeping the community safe. 🖕🙄 If they wanted to save face, they’d have dropped the charges already. I’d like to see the officer charged.

A lot of talk about that tragic death which they are using to somehow excuse the police and the cities shameful and inexcusable behavior including condoning the so-called "detective" falsifying a police report and executing an illegal arrest. If they do this to someone with the resources to fight back what do you think these people (all of them in this video) would do to you? Not one of them apologizes for their behavior.

That's just it! The cop/detective probably acts like this on a routine basis. Any other normal person would be put through the wringer, and nobody would ever know. He just messed up and pulled Scottie Scheffler out of the car and didn't know it.

As much as I dislike LIV golf Scotty Sheffler should issue an ultimatum to the PGA Tour that if they don't arrange to have all charges dropped before his June 3rd hearing that he will jump ship to LIV.....they would love to have him there!! Then, if he is dragged through a trial by the LMPD and prosecuting attorney he should sue them into oblivion! What ever settlement he receives then donate that to his charity of choice!

Difficult situation when the arresting officer clearly failed to comply with procedures. That failure that would really support sound reasoning for arresting a player trying to get to the course. If they go to trial and fail to convict Scottie, pretty sure there likely will be hell to pay. PGA would like to come back to this city I would think?

Just by the congestion at the entrance, by not setting up check points either inside the gate farther or on the road back from the gate shows poor police work. The police should be helping the players arrive at the course. Not arresting them!

Not having a camera on is not a crime. failing to follow the officers command not to drive into the accident scene Is a crime. Not turning the camera didnt drag the officer by car and injure the officer. Dragging the officer by the car is a crime.
