I love how clean and smooth your pieces are! sometimes less is more and your pieces are really sparkly without overdoing it :) i'm really curious how people on instagram make those liquid shakers with 3d molds? i believe i saw someone do it with a pikachu mold that i remember you own! I can only guess they apply a thin layer to coat the mold to get the outer shell, but i cant figure out how they get the liquid or the back in there. if you could do a tutorial on it I would be so amazed at your skill and grateful for your help too!
@SeriouslyCreative5 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you for your kind words 😊 i will be making a shaker turorial soon! However I'm not 100% sure how they make solid molds into shakers, i think it has something to do with putting a round mold inside when the resin is tacky so when it dries there is a cavity.. anyway if i figure it out ill do a video 😊

@Vanessa0714 жыл бұрын
oh wait, I just realised.. do you use these silicone thingies to mix the resin, because you can easily get out the cured resin and re-use the cups? I've always wondered if people that do resin throw away the cup they mixed in every time, and also the other material they used? It would make sense because I guess you can't really rinse it of or anything, but it's also a bit of a waste :/

For embedded words/designs, print on transparency film, cut out to size/shape. Make use of film by filling page with multiple words/designs. Inkjet transparency may bleed. A quick test should let you know if pre-sealing is needed. You can also print on heavy stock paper or photo paper but test it first. You may need to seal them with a clear coat spray, or clear coats in case the resin reacts to the paper chemicals. Special Paper (that's the actual name of it) from Little Windows is good too. Hope this helps!
@SeriouslyCreative5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend inkjet, i actually use a laser printer and foil with black (or another colour) over the top 😊
@luv14lyf5 жыл бұрын
@@SeriouslyCreative why do you foil if it's already black unless you foil the black toner with another color. Just wondering. I know inkjet tends to run/ smear but I've read others have success by sealing it with clear spray or clear coat.
@SeriouslyCreative5 жыл бұрын
@@luv14lyf just cos the black ink is still slightly see through i like it to be completely opaque... thats my choice though obviously its probably fine without the extra step of foiling 😊

Question !!! Step 1 you put the resin & first layer of the word....then you did a heat for bubbles - how long did you wait to put the second layer in so that they're separated? (Step 1 clear resin...heat...Step 2 colour resin)
@SeriouslyCreative3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Usually a few hours so the clear layer is tacky/cured enough that they don't run together. Every resin has a different work time it just depends on the brand you're using 😊
