These shakers turned out amazing! Awesome job! I know this video is kinda "old" but just a tip (if you want it, ofc!): drill the hole for the eyepin right after demolding (before putting decorations inside), this way you won't have any annoying pieces of dust inside your creation!

hihi!! I have a question- ive heard a lot ab eye pins cracking resin due to shrinkage, and bc of that im scared to use them but i feel that they would make my products look better. How have they worked for you?

アイスクリューと同じサイズの穴を開け、ネジ山に少量のUV樹脂を使用します。 私は問題を抱えたことはありません。 I drill a hole the same size as the eye screw and use a little UV resin on the threads. I've never had a problem.

I choose the drill which have the same size as the eye pins and screw it. Sometimes it did crack but dun worry u can attach with us resin as well

Yes! It's even better, because epoxy and uv resin don't stick too well to each other. so you should use the same type of resin for the shaker frame and the dome so it doesn't leak over time or if the shaker falls or something

Interesting video :0 So your were able to mix UV resin with regular resin to dome the charm? Some say they dont stick well to each other but im guessing it might work after all! :)

This is true, uv resin does not make a true permanent bond. So it shouldn't be used beyond the inner edge of your film. Leave the real adhesion to the final doming of your piece. Otherwise you risk leaking later

I really don't recommend what she did, as the piece is not structurally sound. Especially if she plans to sell these.. but You can use the uv resin method for dry resin shakers. Since you don't run the risk of leaking the inner liquid due to uv resin weak bond

Hi love your vid and the shakers! I have a question on sanding it. How do you make it shine after sanding the excess resin? Because ive done it but its rough and turned into white.

Make sure the grit of your sander is very fine. If its too rough it will leave white. Once you have a smooth finish, coat the piece in resin or top coat. ♡
