Too much effort for me, but props to you and the modding community. I have always had so much respect for the hardmod community for consoles. I know it becomes routine after the 100th console, but there are parts where you can completely mess up.

FYI There is a yellow circle on the side of the DVD drive. If you stick a long pin or paper clip in there it will eject the DVD tray mechanically, so you don't need to power up. Also, you can remove the front section without pulling the face plate off from the DVD tray. You just have to angle the front section correctly to get past the face plate.

Ive got an E Series that was manufactured on the 2014-9-15. It thinked it was an Winchester. But it was an Corona V6 so the modding can begin :)

I’m looking into getting into the rghing scene, just a few questions: 1: do I have to take the heat sink off? Like will it still be possible with it on (don’t have thermal paste) 2: how many watts should my soldering iron be? 3: how do I identify what motherboard a console is? 4: can all motherboards be done with the same chip or do I need different chips for different consoles? (So like a trinity with ace v3 and jasper with cool runner)

Any slim RGH should serve just fine. Stealth service I don't personally use - but I hear Ninja is the biggest/best, though it's also pretty expensive.

I have a stubborn slim e v4. I can't get it to boot to xell. I get a reading with the multimeter when checking the postfix. Tried to write ecc with glitch 2 and glitch 2m and resoldered everything.

I damaged the solder of the post fix and bought the postfix for v2 (I suppose it works the same) but I also damaged the one for reset ... and honestly, I have seen some alternatives but they do not work for me :(. Hey man I’m starting to rgh3 a new console and mines a 16mb E. I saw in another video (Mr Mario) that you only have to bridge R2C10 if there’s no resistor and if you have a resistor on R2C10 then you don’t have to bridge R2C6 and R2C7 at all. Is that correct?

Hello, i just got a an xbox 360 slim (16MB) corona version 3-6. i've got everything ready to do the RGH with postfix adpater (it needs it) e.t.c. Looking at your video i realize that i also have WINDBOND ram (and this is NOT an XBOX 360 E). The MFR date of this unit is1 9/01/2013. DO I have also to check WB 2K when i will start using JRunner?

As 360's go the 4gb corona is probably the toughest due to the number of wires needed to get the 4gb nand read and written. If you're a novice at soldering I'd suggest looking for some local help from someone who can solder proficiently.

When I'm soldering the capacitor legs to act as a resistor, do I only touch the legs with the iron and let the solder fall of of the metal and hit R2C6 and 7 or do I do another process?

The whole point is just to bridge those unbridged contacts. Using the legs off the capacitor is just kinda a cheater way to span the gap.

Hello, i have a 4gb corona motherboard xbox360 e and it dont boot, only the center green light is is on and the fan and the dvd drive and no hdmi output, the rgh chip x360run v1.1 led dont work. I measured the ground and the cpu and i measure 100 ohm not 30-40 , and if i remove the x360 run chip i got the same result . Anyone know what is the problem ?

I didn't make that reader, it was designed specifically for the purpose of reading 4gb nands on Xbox 360 consoles. There are lots of plans and tutorials out there for making them from micro to full size SD card adapter though.

You have got very detailed videos. After watching your videos i put up some guts to open up my xbox360e n try ace v3 as u shown here. However, i need some help please. I have done all steps from bridge to ace v3 wiring. Double checked all wires even with multimeter. Write ecc done, even redone the thermal paste. After installing Ace v3, system has no hdmi output. Couldnt see boot to xell, hdmi no signal. Cpu fan runs, if started with eject button, ace v3 blinks green. Please help me fix this blank screen.

Not being able to turn the console back on for a while suggest some sort of overloading self resetting something. Honestly - 360's are so cheap these days you might just get another one for $40 at gamestop and re-hack it.

Yes, the process would be the same. Though you may or may not need a postfix adapter depending on the specific model of 4gb S series Corona that you have.

You could "gut swap" for another motherboard - but at that point it's basically another console.

Hi. Do you know the fix for the problem of turning on but not booting up of an Xbox 360 E model(blue/500GB/16MB NAND), RGH modded, MFR 2014/08/18? I tried with removing anything but no luck. It has working fine but in time has progressively started to boot slower and slower until nothing.

Sounds like maybe a glitch chip gone bad? Or a wire connection come loose over time?

@@TheWeekendModder I've checked the wires and all seem fine, except the one next to the APU(under the heatsink), that one I didn't checked. There's really the chance that the glitch chip(Ace V 3.0) to be bad? How about the possibility that NAND should be bad? The defect(slow boot times) started progressively over time up to the point the Xbox didn't worked at all.

I believe I bricked my E consol when I tryed this a few weeks ago I keep getting errors when I try to create the ecc.. it wouldn’t boot after that also tryed rewriting original band dump1.bin any suggestions?

If you rewrite your original "nanddump1.bin" and then disconnect power from any glitch chip you have installed the console should still boot retail. If it does not - that indicates an issue with something else you've done, perhaps damage while soldering.

These E series consoles actually still has Infrared cuz im able to turn on and fully control my E series with my galaxy s4 (which has a built in IR blaster) using the "IR Remote Xbox 360" app form the google play store. So that technically mean that those E series consoles still has IR module or at least mine still does.

You sure you have an E series and not an S series? I've never seen and E series with an IR receiver that has worked with my remotes, but CNET agrees with you: www.cnet.com/products/microsoft-xbox-360-e/ saying that the E does maintain the IR receiver. So I guess I'm now questioning that. good catch.

Yeah pretty sure its E series, I have the same model as in the video, and im able to control it as I said with my galaxy s4. The "IR Remote Xbox 360" app is basically the same as your remote, a digital version if i may say so, same layout and all...

With that MFR date, you'll have to open it up and inspect if it's a Corona or Winchester.

The SD tool is a tool for reading and writing the nand of Xbox consoles with a 4gb nand...
