Here is the first part of my journey from submission to book deal! This vlog is a little all over the place but so was I at the time so it's fitting. It was so much fun to share the exciting news with my closest family and friends and I am so glad that I have these memories recorded forever!

Malin, those reaction videos are like my own personal stress release! In the months after this weekend, I would go back and watch these recordings whenever things were getting tough or I thought maybe the deal would fall through. Such a balm to know that no matter what, my friends were gonna have my back.

@@bombastus-cz right??? I really was out here watching videos thinking publishing had a cookie cutter way of doing things. But I think it's more likely that every house does things differently and every author has unique moments to their journey.

And I die of laughter every time I remember Davaisha being in the bathroom for the big reveal. I did make sure to get her permission to include that in the vlog though hahaha!

Oh my gosh it was so lucky! I just woke up that day and decided to conquer my to do list. I was in the process of finishing the final task when I saw the missed call. Totally fate! Because then I got to celebrate stress free!
