I had mine up until August the year after my sister died. She died on a 12/20/2004. It’s been 20 years mow. Since I wasn’t home, we all went to Virginia for my sisters funeral on December 23, and then we had to fly home on Christmas Eve. A Christmas I will always remember. That’s why I couldn’t take my tree down. Or was like I needed to keep the holiday spirit in my house. In June I pulled it way from the window so no one else could see it.

Merry Christmas! I love your channel so much. ETA: put your potting mat out in the sun for a little bit. I've seen people returning their misshaped ponytail holders by putting them in the sun. IDK if it's the heat?

We opened one Christmas present on Christmas Eve. Usually matching night gowns for my sister and I. My grandmother made them for all six grand kids. A lot of red flannel and houndstooth flannel in red.

I never thought of the sounds of trellises and tendrils but you’re right they are very similar.

Merry Christmas ❤❤ Trellising Hoya is so touch and go for me. Half of them are ok and the other half die back when I try to train them around the trellis.... Par for the course I guess... Anywho some of my answers are.....Favorite Christmas movie? Home Alone and Polar Express .... When do your decorations go up? Nov 1st, I'll start pulling decorations out Halloween night 😂😂.... Favorite Christmas song? So this is actually a hard one lol it would have to be a 3way tie between Silent Night by the Temptations, Sleigh Ride by TLC, and Let is Snow by Boys to Men. I hope you had a relaxed and wonderful day 💚❤️

I have a fake tree. Because I like to keep up a tree up for about two months. It would be brittle dry if it was real. But because of the plants and plant stands that are in front of the living room. Two stands in front of the big windows and grow lights for the back stand. The front stand doesn’t get slats more daylight.

Did you just say "trashcan Hoya?" You'd be a fool not to TM that 😆 Also, when I suggested "more dog..." I wasn't suggesting that Luka give us the Full Monty 🤣😂🤣 Let me tell you how much you're going to love your new Mac M4 ...! I, too, was using an 11 year old Mac to edit. How hot did yours get??? I'm in heaven with my M4. Same plan as you on the purchase, and I'm so freaking impressed. See ya next time 😊

I’ve always given ornaments but neither of my nieces put up Christmas trees and my sister only put hers up because her daughter and boyfriend did it for her. So I’ve got to find out something else. For next year. I’m thinking clutch chargers. And these little round thing you can use to clean all your screen and then it resists finger prints. I can buy them over the year and spread out the costs.

I think I was about 11-12. When I recognized Santa’s handwriting was my mom’s. But I had two younger sisters so I kept it from them. I still believe.

Always great to see your videos. My family is a conglomeration of religions (or none). I get to celebrate for a very long time each year. Side note: for the very first time ever I have a pest. Mealies. I am horrified. They are on my H. Linearis. I've had it for months. How do those things appear like magic?
@lisaanglim958819 сағат бұрын
They are the devil and can hide on the smallest crevices. I just threw away my golden pothos because I couldn’t kill them. They kept coming back.
@anawithplants6 сағат бұрын
thank you Helene! and oh noo sorry to hear. esp mealies on a linearis 🥲 they are a nightmare!

@@anawithplants Ana, have you ever used systemics? If so, what?
@anawithplants5 сағат бұрын
@@helenesolomon yes, I have! very effective for mealybugs and other sap sucking pests. I use bonide systemic granules. just keep in mind that it takes a couple weeks to see results.

Trellises are so expensive. Actually, all plant stuff has gotten so expensive and even “cheap plastic” things are no longer cheap. Where do you shop for trellises?
@PsionicbombКүн бұрын
If you’re in the US, Dollar Tree is your friend. Grab some glue gun sticks, the Gorilla ones, while in the craft section. In that same section, grab the wooden hoops that come in various sizes and glue them together into whatever design is best for each plant. There are also tons of other things you can use to make pretty cool trellises for pretty cheap. Each season they’ll have small wooden pieces you can use for a base or whatever you can think of. This winter they had tons of wreath frames in various shapes and I grabbed some of those for trellises I used the star one and glued some wooden circle frames on each of the points minus the bottom 2 and it gave the trellis more space for the plants to climb and vine Their garden section often has garden trellises you can alter to fit indoor or take apart for multiple trellises. Hope that sparks some creativity in ya or helps out.
@lisaanglim958819 сағат бұрын
@@Psionicbombwhat neat ideas. I’ll have to think about all your suggestions. They are really good.
@anawithplants6 сағат бұрын
totally agree! trellises are plastic (the kind I own) yet they are so pricey. for the best deal, I look on hoya groups on FB. a medium-large size can usually go $3-4 each.
