I'm a Black man with a 4 year old daughter and I worry about domestic violence for my daughter. It's good she is talking to the girls and women about domestic violence. I have decided to train my daughter at 5 years old in the martial arts so by the time she is old enough to get married she will be dam capable of defending her self against attacks.

Yes, very distracting & unsettling for such a serious topic.

Much respect to her and I truly hope one day she and her family receive justice. I love her show, and to know that the host of a show like her's is someone who knows the horrifying tragedy that these families are going through makes her show more respectful. Much respect

Hi my name is Cannon Boatmon and my wife Marie mother was murder by her mothers boyfriend over 20 years ago and they no he did it. And the California police has done nothing about it. His family has him in hiding. And all I want is some kind of justice for my wife and her sister.

This women is beautiful inside and out, im glad someone out there is making a difference and letting woman know there is a way out. How any person can hurt someone they love is beyond my understanding, in my family men have always been the ones who protect and take care of there wives, its sad to know there is men out there who use there strength to harm someone who loves and trust them, life is hard enough for women and to have to fear the person who is suppose to love and protect you.

Ruby, you are blessed to have those kind of men in your life. The men in my family are VERY ABUSIVE to their female siblings, cousins, etc. and are NOT providers or protectors at all 😭. All I can say is that God sees everything 🙏 and we will all answer to our transgressions.

People have to know when and how to rescue a family member out of a domestic violence situation. When a family member (victim) cries out for help immediately be there for them. Go out of your way to get them. Open up your door to them, or drive them to a shelter. Go out of your way
@joselynjolivet76942 жыл бұрын
Nobody can be held financially hostage. Have the courage to walk away from negative, abusive, toxic relationships. Shelters exist so that you can get back on your feet, get a job, save some money. Don't depend on somebody who punches you, slaps you, beats you, and/or verbally abuses you (uses derogatory language or put-downs).

You are wrong! Statistics prove that the moment someone decides to leave an abusive relationship, the risk of them being killed goes up.

One thing you should be aware of. Tell her that it is never ok for anyone to put their hands on her or to degrade her. Many women are embarrassed to admit they made a poor choice in a partner. Tell her that she is deserving of a person that will treat her always with love & respect. Then u show her love & respect. Then it's not just what she hears, but what she see's in a man's actions. Let her know she can tell U anything & it will not change your love 4 her & U will never judge her. TrueDadLuv

Domestic violence is real! Sometimes people are so judgemental, you can go for help and never receive it! I know I went for help and was just another number!!!

Sorry for you and your families loss of your sister. The problem I have is using her sisters murder to gain popularity for herself.

Oh great, then you think she is trying to gain popularity with her sister's death, oh come ' on! It happened and her family will have to live with it until the end of days. I'm sorry for her and her family, is not easy to share your lifestime with someone and later on don't see it anymore. Great anchor and journalist, love this woman.
