This was one of the purest friendships I ever heard about. It was clear that she loved him immensely, perhaps even in love with him. Not many people can experience these types of relationships in life but Tamron Hall was blessed to do so. RIP Prince.

I am so glad that Prince had Tamron to talk to, to enjoy life with & to confide his inner most secrets to, Prince was a very private person, his first love was his musical career he always created the most beautiful music & funky music & he did things his way. Alot of people didn't understand him, they usually don't when u are a Genius & that is what Prince was. Prince dated & loved so many beautiful women he had charisma, style & sexiness like no other, he endured so much coming into his own, Prince married twice, lost out 4 a family of children & was robbed of happiness. HEARTBREAKING! If Tamron and Prince truly were that close, I can't imagine how difficult and painful this must be for her. But it's really a shame that she didn't care enough about Prince to actually GO THERE and SEE HIM in person and find out how he really was. Reportedly, someone from "his staff" called the addiction specialist a day or two before he died, stating Prince was in "grave danger" and they arranged for him to get help. But this was AFTER he apparently overdosed when they had to make an emergency stop from the air. So I just don't understand why they left him all alone? Why wouldn't at least one person stay with him or at least get a nurse to stay with him until the doctor could get there. (Supposedly they thought he was suffering from the Flu, so it would have helped to have someone with him in case he needed something.) And it's been reported that he was treated by a local doctor the day before he died, who showed up at Paisley with test results after Prince was found. So a DOCTOR saw him the day before and wasn't able to tell how bad he was? Is this the same doctor who had been writing prescriptions for him? Is this going to be another Conrad Murray? (And don't even get me started on whether someone in his "circle" was illegally supplying him with the drugs that allegedly took his life.) I wonder how good they feel now about being such a "yes man" just to draw a paycheck? Tamron said she had heard about the emergency landing/overdose yet she didn't really ask him about it? WTF? What kind of friend wouldn't ask about something that serious? I'm sorry, but if it were my friend and there was any question about something that serious, I would have BEEN THERE! Just imagine, if she had gone to Paisley that night like he asked, perhaps she could have made sure he got the help he needed...or at least she could have tried. (He wasn't isolating himself like some addicts do if he asked her to come to his home.) If he really was that close to her, that sounds like a plea for help. Maybe he would have listened to her and allowed her to help him. Sickening and SAD. Such a senseless loss of a phenomenal talent and a genuinely kind person! May he rest in peace.

Tamron is a private person and Prince was a very private person. The public will never know the the conversations she and Prince had. She was his friend because Tamron knew how to keep her mouth shut. If she protected his privacy when he was alive, what makes people think she's going to divulge anything now? Prince assured her, he was fine, and she didn't push, but she did mentioned that they kept in contact throughout the day. We have no idea if she had planned to fly out to Paisley to be with Prince but he told her no, he was fine, after he left the hospital. We don't know. And to imply that she wasn't a real friend, no, in those instances, let's look at it from a different perspective GOD gives us things we can handle; who's to say that Tamron didn't make it to Paisley because finding him dead or unconscious would've sent Tamron over the edge. Remember, Tamron's sister was murdered. So, I'm sure finding him would've been too much. We don't know if Prince had comes to terms with his impending death and wanted to be alone in the studio. He told the audience at his last concert, save your prayers. I take that to mean, he knew he was dying, and made peace with it. Folks want to attack Tamron, bu Prince had always painted the picture of welcoming death, because it was his next journey. I know when my mother died in the hospital, I didn't feel guilt because, I know that GOD gives us things we can bare, and watching my mother taken off life support would have killed me. So, I can't blame or fault Tamron, the woman took a week off work to heal with her family, and when she came back, was trying. She said after the Madonna tribute, that she had to separate the Prince she knew from the Prince image, and that's how she deals.

What I'm saying is that Prince was a private person, and Tamron is a private person. We don't need to speculate on the things she should've done, because she wasn't there. We only knew Prince from his music, and his public image, and that's not the real Prince. We can't condemn or pass judgement because we weren't in his life. Folks are trying to place their grief on the same level as those in his life, and we can't do that. Losing my mother's pain was personal, but losing Prince isn't because I didn't lose Prince, Tamron Hall lost Prince. We lost a musical icon. Folks are taking this to the extreme, trying to convict this woman on not being there, folks have this fans thing messed up. No wonder Prince kept his life private.

It's just very interesting how many people are coming out of the woodwork NOW after his death, claiming they were such good friends, close friends, former girlfriends, his former fiance, etc. Yet not ONE of these people were there for him or with him when he needed someone the most! That is not true friendship. It was blatantly obvious his drug problem was out of control when he essentially died on the plane. But perhaps that's the only level of "friendship" Prince was capable of, while he was allegedly doing such a good job of hiding a deadly addiction. Unfortunately Prince keeping his most of his "friends" at arms length and everyone maintaining his "privacy" (instead of pushing the addiction issue as Judith Hill claims she finally did), well this behavior literally enabled him to death. When someone's drug dependency is that out of control, the addict is no longer capable of helping themself or even realizing they need professional help to get sober. It's just a shame; it didnt have to happen this way. All of us feel a tremendous loss. 😢

I am so sad that he had so many people who loved him but the way they describe their closeness doesn't include intimacy that makes you run and knock or barge in to check on the person's health...course we also call each other not see it on twitter.

+Melissa Massaline I know...especially when you read the story about his brother possibly throwing away his movie script and employees stealing and eventually selling it but I'm just going through the "if only's" from the pain of him passing. There's always that one friend who will break those rules as he said so himself that a real genius will make and break them...that includes coming to see about you. I'm like him, and I told a friend I was ok...and she bust in my house and made me go in I was having heart failure. By morning I would've died. I kicked in a friend's door on hearing he was missing for over a few weeks. Iron sharpened iron...he needed someone to get under that layer with or without permission. He was still needed...dang some of these boundaries we set up to the arms of death. I would've been that type of friend

Kinda think Tamron be name droppin' somewhat. Perhaps she did know of Prince a bit more than most fans, but doubt the relationship went as deep as she claims, "I talked to him everyday for hours for years... almost as much as my mom." Yeah, sure, me too Tamron and that's why we both found out he passed via media just like the rest of his "close" fans. If Prince truly confided in Tamron and they were as tight as she keeps claiming, Prince would've had the help he deserved and certainly would have died with dignity vs alone in pain on some hard elevator floor. And I don't buy this "Prince was too private to tell me he needed me" crap either. He had been crying out for help they say...where were you Tamron, still on the phone with mom? Just sayin'

I find everything she's saying unbelievable. Really, you talked to him every day. Sure you did. I feel like his best female friend was Sheila E and they didn't talk everyday. I don't even talk to my best friend everyday. We've gone months without talking and no we didn't have a problem. Just don't talk all the time. Prince even dedicated a song to Sheila E years ago titled You've Got A Friend. Basically the song was just saying I'll always be there for you.

Tameron Hall, called Prince, on the Today Show live and said they were very close. Prince, put Tameron Hall, on his cover single Can I get UR attention. New York Post reported Prince. had a resteraunt closed down in NYC, so he can have dinner with her. Prince, wanted selfie of Tamer Hall, throughout the day. Clearly Prince, and Tameron Hall, were close.

+gmtfootcd okay, now I see why I'm being attacked. Even though I deleted the post from my main account S Young, it is still showing up but just not to me. I didn't know that's how you tube works until I signed in to this account and saw the post. Apparently I offended you by speaking negatively towards your friend Tamron Hall. I do know that Sheila said she spoke with Prince about 8 months prior to this awful nightmare I'm loving in. However, I know that no matter what happened between them throughout the years, they always managed to stay best friends even if they didn't talk for a while. #IWillAlwaysLoveYouPrinceUntilTheEndOfTime💜💜💜

I'm glad she shared with us. It's definitely a more genuine reaction a friend would have. That reporter from Fox9, however, Iris Perez seemed so disconnected as a supposed friend. That's what I saw anyway.
