Hey guys no disrespect no judgement coming from a New Orleans native all my life the Mardi Gras green is darker. You wrapped with a chartreuse looking green. Mardi Gras green is a little more metallic. But I understand everybody chooses their own colors in the world of custom rod building. Keep up the good work I'll be tuning in October 24

Or you can take a Dremel add insert a hole just big enough to hold the tension rod

The smaller the diameter of the blank, the thinner the tread should be to keep the same effect

Would you do a tiger wrap first or put grips, seats, butts on first?

You can definitely do either. But if you do the tiger wrap before adding the grips, make sure you mark where the grips are going to lie on the blank and after wrapping the rod blank, complete the wrap with finish epoxy and let it dry before adding the grips

You do not need to! But, if you are not sure you are comfortable doing it one way, you can always flip the rod towards the other direction.
