From teacher to teacher - I first didn't like the way you guys were correcting other KZbin teachers... from an etiquette point of view, it looked arrogant and impolite. But then I came to appreciate the value of these lessons and how much I've been learning from it. I also came to understand that some people are just plain lazy when it comes to learning another language properly. They might have a good pronunciation overall, giving them a false sense that they have mastered the other language. But, if they are constantly here, it is because they keep making mistakes all over again. There's a lot of value in learning how the other language is structured but it seems that some don't really care and that shows little care for their students as well. Great video, thank you!

They have every right to correct this person, as she sells her courses for money despite her poor level of English and her completely inaccurate ‘American’ pronunciation.
@gabriela1441311 күн бұрын
@BurbonUFA I don't think she has a poor level of English. I can understand her, no problem. However, if she wants to teach English, she definitely needs to level up because she has been constantly 'featured' on this channel.

@@leeshaoloung7302 You're right! Here's my take: I think pronunciation is overrated. As long as the message is understood, there's no need to nitpick someone's pronunciation, especially in a second language. It's impressive that they can speak it at all, considering you might not be able to say a single word in theirs.

@@HonoreDeutsch it’s not necessary for him to belittle others pronunciation especially of foreign names when he himself is mispronouncing them. He can teach English without nitpicking other people’s English. American English is not the only standard.

11:54 That's what happens when you don't study and simply try to improvise. Many people nowadays prefer to talk without proper preparation. Try taking exams or getting a job without proper knowledge. Lucy, on the other hand, uses AI to make her content and tells people that textbooks are outdated and boring. Why do people continue to waste their precious time watching their videos? They'll get views even if no one's watching their videos.

She is blissfully ignorant about transitive / intransitive verbs . That is why she drops when she explains .. him . She uses English words but she still speaks russian . There is no such thing as long or short vowels in russian , so she simply pronounces Omit and apprOpriate just like any other word in russian .
