The type of war Hamas is fighting now is not the same as what they started out with. You are dealing with an indoctrinated population motivated by recent events. Those who were not active fighters and the younger children who are able to hold a weapon are all candidates for activation. The results of over a year of war have actually raised the motivation to resist; and they are smarter about it. This calls for an absolute removal of weapons; or the action will not change. The usual characters will blame Israel and call for unappealing solutions that will make sense to the rest of the World, especially when they want to get on to other things. Any solution, no matter how enticing, that facilitates the supply of new weapons into Gaza must be avoided. Weapons = death for both sides and bad publicity for Israel. That continues to work for the benefit of terrorist leadership.
