Scammer is probably a drop shipper that is being scammed. They ordered directly to their client and the client is claiming they received a different item.

A guy with 13000 feedback is definitely scamming you. They are most likely Amazon sellers and their items got swapped and are now doing the same to you.

Don’t think the feedback makes them an automatic scammer. I’ve sold multiple items, probably 6+ times to one of my buyers, who has over 23000 feedback. Never was scammed from them once. Albeit, in his case in this video. This does seem like a scam, but feedback shouldn’t be an automatic red flag. If anything, if I see a new eBay account, with zero or even 1 feedback, and then proceed to purchase a high value item, I’d assume a scam is to soon be in effect lol

I would ask for pictures of the box it came in and the shipping label. Had a similar incident where the buyer forgot they ordered the item from 2 different buyers.

I would take the hit on one late shipment and contact the buyer and let them known their order is on hold until I hear back. I haven't had a negative feedback doing that yet. Better than a return when they don't get the hoses.

I had that happen once where customer ordered same thing from 2 buyers and got confused - luckily they figured out I wasn't they seller of the item they thought was wrong as they hadn't even received my package yet. I asked for a picture of the shipping box label and it was not from me.

Just dealt/closed a weird return request. Sold a pair of sneakers for $380 - went to be authenticated before going to customer. Customer messaged me and opened a return saying they ordered by accident and I made a mistake a sent multiple pairs?? I messaged them saying that if they'd like to return them, no problem; but they'd be sent to authenticator before getting returned to me to ensure that they were the same pair....No reply and 3 weeks later Ebay closed the return...So, glad that the return was closed and I got to keep that sale, but makes me wonder if this is some kind of new scam buyers are pulling - I mean if they did this on 20 orders; i'm sure some bigger sellers may just send a refund to them without investigating first?? ...Anyways, thankful Ebay does have alot of safety valves in place to combat stuff like this...

I had the same thing happen to me. I sold a Duck Hunt outdoor remote control game. The buyer claimed I sent him the wrong one. There is a toss version and launch version. He claimed he bought the launch version but received the toss version. I pointed out the photos and title specified the toss version. Like you, I explained I only ever had the one version. He claimed that he contacted me to verify the version before making the purchase although I had memory or record of the conversation. He called me a liar and sent my screen shots....of someone else on a different selling platform. When I told him he talked to a different person, he left me negative feedback.

Yes, an eBay will side with them 100% you will either have to give them a partial refund or the full refund. You are no longer protected. This is under the new policies of easy cancellations and returns., I sold a 1960s super eight Nikon for parts or repair as is the buyer bought it opened it took it apart couldn’t fix it and returned it as defective and eBay gave them 100% of the money back after telling me, my sellers protection should kick in and I would not have to pay them back and weigh 12 pounds so not only out the money. I’m also out a very heavy shipping cost to ship it out and for them to ship it back plus the cost of the item that they took apart welcome to the new eBay.

I had this ebay scam happen to me once, sent the buyer a keyboard and said that they received a jacket. Customer returned said jacket. I ended up signing an affidavit with ebay and didnt have to payout the buyer

It still doesn't matter because the video only shows him pulling the item. The footage doesn't verify who purchased it or him actually packing it and shipping it. After he pulled the item and the camera was shut off, he could have grabbed another item or used the wrong shipping label.

Paying $50 and selling for $150 is not $100 profit. At most, it’s like $75-80 profit, and that assumes the buyer is paying for shipping and you’re not considering the time value of money.
