The *FACT* remains that he did use the word "hoax" when referring to the CoronaVirus. That's called the truth. He *KNEW* other people have died - whether in this country or not. My boy trump. I remember at the time it was a slow place in my life, working at a restaurant I had moved back in with my parents breaking up with my long-term girlfriend who I lived with a few years prior. I remember turning on the TV and watching sign spinning on ESPN or seeing old games and hearing people talk about sports while they were just paused. I never got the opportunity to stay home and collect. I still had to work everyday so the pandemic felt somewhat normal to me although the roads were a lot more clear. I live in New Hampshire and my cousin lives in Maine and they remember leaving my house to go stay with him for the weekend. He had told me that if the state troopers or local police see that you are coming there from out of state that when they pull you over you will be placed in quarantine for two weeks or something crazy like that in Maine. I was so scared driving up there that I didn't make many more of those trips during that time. All of the humor and movies and things that came out at that time are so dated feeling now because everything was about COVID-19. It's nice that it's something we talk about but it doesn't just dominate our world like it does for Howard Stern still.

Ignoring the hyperbole, the meat of the matter is that the U.S. hasn't tested early enough, hasn't established early enough isolating/quarantining. The result is going to be a mass epidemic on the scale that Italy is experiencing. Which means hospitals will get overwhelmed. Beyond the numerous business's which will go bankrupt for a host of reasons, naturally leading to millions being laid off, there will be the inevitable step which Italy has already taken: Completely shutting down all commerce and business's outside of food sales/distribution and pharmaceutical. Leading to more lay-offs and over-all a mass shortage of capital to buy essentials. Then there are the prisons and inevitable rioting that will occur there as both inmates and guards become ill (already happening in Italy). Frankly this virus is a perfect storm which the U.S. is woefully unprepared for, and will have dire impacts on many facets of life. Hard decisions will be made.
