That is an interesting watch. You are full of hidden beauties. Did you not mention this watch on purpose during the video where you laid out your watch collection? Besides I need to give you props on you giant balls of brass for opening such an expensive watch and troubleshooting yourself.
@IMakeWatches Жыл бұрын
Thanks! 😂 Balls of stupidity maybe. Definitely not balls of brass! 😂 I'm not sure why I didn't mention the Panerai in some videos... Perhaps because I have a strong preference for very inexpensive vintage watches. Also, anything that I've ever purchased for more than a few hundred dollars represents a momentary lapse of reason and / or flash of insecurity to me and the accompanying dirty feeling of having something in common with @producermichael. 😂😂😂

Try Cousins! For the link see the links page on my website. There are some other online retailers listed on that page as well.

Hello, do you fix costumers watch? I have a panerai PAM 441 ceramica gmt that has stopped working.
@IMakeWatchesАй бұрын
Thanks, but no, I don't do that as yet. Probably best to take it to a Panerai dealer for factory service.

Hi i have same issue my luminor tantalum panerai started tody after 17 years
@IMakeWatches Жыл бұрын
As you can see that's super easy to fix. Are you comfortable doing it yourself? If you're not then I urge you not to because Panerai's are a bit too expensive to mess with. Even just getting the case back off can lead to damage.

My watch movement did not work. I replaced a new battery and then the watch run for 30 minutes and then stopped again. So I restarted my watch and sometimes it run, sometimes don’t. If it run, mostly 20-30 minutes and then stop. Do you what the problem is and how I can fix my watch.
@IMakeWatches Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. What kind of watch is it? What do exactly do you mean when you say that you "restarted" the watch? Do you mean pull out crown and push back in?

My Panerai runs normally but it stops every 11pm-2am.. it wont run until I move the arm to 2am.. only after at 2am it runs normally.. wht do you think the problem is?
@IMakeWatches Жыл бұрын
It's a friction problem. Can you see if the hour and minute hands look like they are contacting each other starting at 11pm? What other complications does the movement have that could be causing friction?
@harry-qy2fz Жыл бұрын
@@IMakeWatches doesnt seems to have a friction.. even if it has why only atb11pm.. and not 11am.. there shoudnt be any difference if theres a fruction..

Do you not dress your screwdrivers as you go?
@tomholloway75662 жыл бұрын
Have you tried putting the rotating top of the screwdriver on the second pad of your index finger? It does give much more control and stability
@IMakeWatches2 жыл бұрын
@@tomholloway7566 Sure, I do it all the time, but that doesn't work for me when a significant amount of power is needed. When a significant amount of power is needed my instinct is to grab the screwdriver like the grip on a full size screwdriver and attack it with the strength in my wrist and forearm. It's difficult to stop that instinct and wait around rolling a tiny screwdriver between the thumb and fingertips when a screw is stuck. (In other words, yes, and yes, you're right.) 😂
@IMakeWatches2 жыл бұрын
@@tomholloway7566 Yes, I do whenever necessary (which is a tolerance thing based on the screw at hand). That said, I am very reluctant to touch new screws on nice watches with anything but Rodico. I'm much more comfortable working with movements in cheap watches that are already showing lots of signs of previous service.
