Russia also intercepts when the US files its bombers in international air. It's simply to keep a close eye on something that could potentially end millions of lives and show the other side that you are able to detect them early on. Intercepting don't mean anything other than getting within visual range. Besides the other sides have just as much right to be there.

Therefore they are intercepted and escorted by fighter jets, who do have their transponders activated. You have been taught some basics about why these intercepts happen and henceforth you shall relay these basics to others.

Russia does the same thing when we fly B-52s close to their borders. Secondly, the targeting of civilians is unintentional, mostly due to faulty intelligence and analysis. The US hasn't 'run', unless they absolutely have to, very much to our detriment. Our willingness to stick around and keep fighting is a problem, as seen in vietnam, afghanistan, etc. Finally, there is no other airforce that can field hundreds of 5th generation fighters, except for the US Navy.

Fr, F-16 was sitting perfectly far back, well over 100 metres away from the Bear. Which by the way was flying illegally in a buffer zone, like they always do, so we have to intercept and peacefully turn them around, whether it was direct orders from the ruZZian high command or error of their untrained pilots. ruZZia are the aggressors here and that Su-35 didn't know how close he came to being slapped with an Aim-9X. People who have no knowledge of aviation will think this was a "cool manoeuvre" but in reality, all it did was cause confusion and chaos and put everyone at risk, the Viper, Flanker and Bear.
