Ah, but earth tried that possibly around 70,000 years ago with the Toba Supervolcano. Sure humanity nearly died off, but guess what? We survived on a knife's edge. Earth is going to have to try harder than that I'm afraid :P

@@Go2hell-fulgybitch If you're asking if I (Myself) could survive, I would say there is a high probability because I am located over 300 miles away from the caldera itself. In a worse case Yellowstone Scenario ashfall where I live would be a few Centimeters or nonexistent depending on wind patterns. Although weather and temperature cooling would cause issues relating to food shortages, it's not impossible of one stocks up in supplies or has a backup plan in place in case of such a unlikely scenario. Volcanos are more predictable then human factors, and Yellowstone is currently showing very little chance of Eruption. If I was to include human factors then it would muddy things further.
