At first I was like "not another brand that assembles watches claiming they are reviving US watchmaking" but then I was WOW!!! This guy definitely deserves the name WatchMAKER 👍👍👍

Cameron and Weiss Watch Company are the real deal, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and hanging with Cameron on he and Matt Farah's Watch and Listen Podcast. I can personally vouch for the fact that Cameron is a totally genuine and down to earth guy who has a true passion for watchmaking that make him instantly relatable to any other watch fan from novice to bonafide WIS.

Thank you for giving US watch makers a good name. Thank you for creating something original but still respects history and not making an homage. I wish you success.

We are so proud and honored to carry the Weiss Watches in our store. As being the First Jewelry store in America to carry the watch, what an honor. Thanks for making this video! You guys are amazing!

Met Cameron at Luft and he was one of the coolest dudes! Straight up took his watch of his wrist just to let me take a look at it. I hope to be able to buy one some day!

We need more of this capability in the US. This is incredibly impressive. I need to put down a Weiss watch on my bucket list along with RGM.

He hasn't really. He's built a UNITAS 6498 clone. If you're familiar with your watch movement, you'll see that he is manufacturing an old ETA movement. Still pretty impressive to see this kind of skill and tooling in America, but it's a very old movement and a favorite amongst micro brands

I love this guy! He seems so kind and so concerned with the true future of watchmaking. Not just about making money. He took what’s literally probably one of the hardest paths to making money via watches purely due to his passion for watchmaking. Something to be applauded. Most would have been more than content with the amazing career he had in Switzerland and would have never even attempted their own brand. Let alone move that brand to and produce it within the USA. Gutsy! Beautiful pieces as well. I wish him nothing but huge success in the future. Thanks for this episode 👍

Assembling a watch is one thing, making the movement is a totally other level, that costs a huge amount of money. At the end a Weiss watch is really affordable compared to other brands. I admire Cameron and what he has done.

Let’s be real guys, if asian manufacturers didn’t exist Weiss brand wouldn’t have existed either. All parts coming from China, movement from Japan, assembled in a Studio and claiming it’s American Made?!?? Let me put in another way, if it’s American as claimed why does it have to be a 100% cloning of IWC where in China are expert in doing so, with the only difference in Arabic Numbers fonts on the dial. Have it compared with an 80$ watch called Parnis that you can find on Alibaba and tell me if this whole false claim deserves this huge difference of price!

Hi Daniel, though we can't speak for any other brands, Cameron is pretty open about the fact that some of his movements in the lower price-point Weiss watches are Swiss-manufactured. However, he also machines movements in his own shop and assembles them there. If you watch the video closely you will see where some of the machinery is being shown. Cameron is a Swiss-trained watchmaker who spent time at AP and Vacheron before starting his own shop in Los Angeles.

Crown & Caliber Hello there, I’m not doubting Cameron’s experience and knowhow in watchmaking business but I still have 2 unanswered questions that are making me doubting about “Made in USA” claim and those questions are: 1- why all Weiss watches are cloning of IWC. If it’s a 100% American watch shouldn’t it be having an original design on its own? If he could make watches from scratch, why should he make homage watches and not 100% Weiss designed watches? I’m afraid the answer would be that all cloned parts of IWC already exist in China and it’s easy to import them and just assemble them... My 2nd question is, would Weiss watches exist without China or Switzerland? Knowing that Swiss watches and Chinese watches exist with no assistance of American manufacturing. I would be proud of Weiss watches being American Made and I would happily pay their price if they are 100% American designed, with American movement and American parts and assembled in USA.

This guy is a fraud, he copies swiss movements and sells it to unsuspecting customers, this guy doesn't develop any movement like a real watchmaker does, he only assembles parts and already claims to be the true American watchmaker, perhaps American watchmaking is a copy of the Switzerland?
