IMHO once you add mechanical hands to a digital watch you lose many of its advantages. Casio pure digital G-Shock is the way to go - supremely accurate with radio time synchronization and NO moving parts, as well as world time zones, alarms, solar charging lighted display, etc. etc.

Hello I recently bought a pre owned Rolex submariner y series and am afraid numbers are not matching is there any way I can communicate with someone on your staff ? I paid $8500 from I believed to be a reputable watch master in Northern VA and want to make sure I have not been swindled . It’s 2003 y series submariner with no holes in the lugs however when I searched the y series between 2000-2004 are supposed to have holes in the lugs however. I also don’t have any code or reference number on end links . Another note the clasp reads 93250 MA9 which is meant for a 2005 bracelet . Please help !

Why do you set the time to 630? How and what can adjusting the moonphase complication damage? Are there generic rules across all moonphase watches as to what hours of the day you can and can't set it?

I do wish that quartz was also appreciated for the fact that it is a bit of a scientific marvel in its own right. Yes, mechanical watches are elegant and there is something brilliant about how they work but the fact that we literally tell the time by passing current through a piezoelectric crystal is still pretty damn awesome in itself. Even if it doesn’t look as flashy.

Is one more comfortable than the other? I find pre-ceramic solid end link watches don't sit right on my wrist because of 5 fixed links (including the clasp) on the 6 side. Is the hollow end link much different in terms of fit? This gets fixed on the ceramic models, which allow 4 fixed links on the 6 side.
