Why bother with federal laws that can be mangled or made useless by the states? Definitive decisions should either be made by federal law or just left to the states. But unspecific bills that can't be enforced or don't address key components only cause endless court cases and a large waste of government and/or state funds. Not to mention the hypocrisy in wanting to ban abortion and allowing IVF.

I truly don’t understand this country’s obsession with fertility. HOW can you be pro-IVF but against abortion-even before 21 weeks? You either believe a person is an individual person at conception or you believe it at viability or you believe it at birth. But you have to be consistent.
