Contrary to popular believe, the Olmecs introduced chocolate. Who where black, they arrived in Mexico a few thousand years before the other Indian dynasties. Such as the Mayans and the Aztecs. The Aztecs had more of a melting pot. They adopted practices of those that they conquered. The Mayans had lots of Medicine purposes as well we're also a very pagan culture. Heck they we're all pagan. Yes Chocolate is a beautiful crop.

Everytime you eat cocoa, please remind yourself that the favor of it is mixed in Aztec's sweat, smallpox, and blood. 500 years ago shortly after discovery of Cacao. The spanish really genocided the whole Aztec empire to make them pay Tribune in Chocolate, so the spanish can sell it for expensive price.

It’s fascinating to see how the ancient traditions of chocolate-making continue to thrive in Antigua! Bolivia has its own rich heritage, where chocolate grows wild in secret ancient chocolate islands, where wild cacao is harvested by hand and fermented using traditional methods passed down through generations. The fermentation process in these cacao islands enhances the flavour profile, creating a truly distinct and vibrant chocolate experience. It’s amazing how these age-old techniques connect us to the origins of chocolate around the world! 🍫🌍 We are so proud to offer a chocolate bar made using the secrets from this shared cultural heritage!

Does anyone else remember the drinkable chocolate drink from Starbucks?!?! Bring ThAt Sh!+ BaCk!! ** 2005- Starbucks is stirring up the mix this weekend with the nationwide launch of its hot chocolate drink called "Chantico," named after the Aztec goddess of hearth and fire. Chantico may be a fancy name for what essentially is a cocoa beverage, but Starbucks (Research) wants its patrons to think of it as something different, more like a "drinkable dessert." According to the company, Chantico is steamed with cocoa butter and whole milk, giving it a thick and creamy texture. Imagine drinking a melted truffle and you're close to the Chantico chocolate experience**
