In today's video, watch the process of how I made this exposed raw seam dress that was inspired by the dissh.com website. If you want to skip and jump to watch me sewing the dress, go to timestamp: 5:37. A Free sewing pattern of this dress is coming soon! Keep a lookout.
This dress is so fun and flirty to wear, and I absolutely love it. The fabric I used was 100% cotton dropcloth, and sewing the dress from start to finish took me under 1 hour.
The challenge for me with this project was to create a piece I loved without busting the bank!
On the dissh website, the dress I was inspired by was $179.99. I made this dress for $13.00 [fabric] and, saved $166.99 and had yards of fabric left over. Win, win!
In the end, I now own something I love after putting in some effort to create a pattern and personalize the color. And, I have a pattern that I can use over and over.
As soon as I have a digital pattern ready to share, I will post it to let you know so you can enjoy this pattern, too!
Keep checking back, and subscribe to my channel so you won't miss out, and so I can continue to create more videos to inspire your next sewing project. Liking, sharing, and commenting also helps my channel! Hugs! 🥰
