I had just ordered a bed jet 3 and as I got the email stating it was shipped and on the way I saw your review and panicked. When I received the bed jet I decided to give it a try. I am a 67 year old woman and it I put it together in about 10 minutes. I did buy the bed sheet that bed jet sells as an extra purchase. I turned the bed jet on high speed and like you said it filled with air and hovered over the bed. Then I read the instructions that states you can put a blanket or comforter over the sheet. Problem solved. I live in very hot humid climate in the summer and very cold in the winter. I usually wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Using the bed jet, for the first time I finally had a great night sleep. I did not have to have the fan at 100%. I had it on 50% and the temperature at 72. Under the covers it stayed that temperature all night. It not only keeps me cool but dry as well. I am sorry you did not like the bed jet for yourself but for me it is the best purchase I have ever made!

The instructions that came with the bed jet make it clear that "The Cloud Sheet works best with the weight of your existing bedding on top of it". We just got ours 2 weeks ago. I have the fitted sheet, cloud sheet, then regular sheet, and also our bed spread. It works great and I feel the covers snuggled in around me. Love this product!!

Absolutely agreed. I struggle to sleep without a weighted blanket, but then I sweat like crazy and wake up anyway. I almost cried the first night with my BedJet because I finally didn’t wake up in a puddle of sweat at 2 am. Best thing I ever bought and honestly I think so many people who don’t like it just set it up wrong. Their customer service is so helpful!! Just ask questions!

I love my Bedjet. It’s been my trusty nighttime companion for 5 years. I tuck it under a flat sheet and tuck the sides. I use little bungee cords to strap the flat sheet around the hose to secure the airflow. I have a all year down comforter on top. It billows a little when I run the fan at 100%. It doesn’t billow at all if you lower the fan speed. We live in the muggy deep South and it’s been a life saver.

Yeah I have noticed a misconception about the bedjet 3 it's only going to keep you cool if you're home or bedroom for that matter is already cool as well I have a mini split air conditioner in my bedroom so I'm not cooling the whole house with my bedjet the ambient temperature still needed to be pretty darn cool for it to keep me cool in my bed I still keep my mini split thermostat set at 60° because the air the bedjet the cool is based on the ambient Air temperature if your ambient air is 75° and it will be blowing 75° air on you. And on top of all that to keep it from inflating my covers like a air balloon I had to use a heavy quilt instead of a light comforter.

I have a bedjet 3 and am very happy. I at first didn't like the sheets floating above me until i figured out that if i gave the air a way to escape ie. letting the air escape on either side of my body the sheet doesn't blow up as much because the air can not escape as fast as its coming in. Another thing i have done is turning the bedjet down to like 30% to give the air a chance to escape around me and the sheets don't blow up. Looking forward to the winter when i get to use the heat option. I sleep with just shorts on because i do not like the encumbered feeling of pj's. Will be dialing in the right temp. @FastRedPonyCar Жыл бұрын
I kinda had a feeling the product would perform the way you experienced. Although We do use a weighted blanket and some small dogs, I think that the so-so cooling ability would be the main dealbreaker for me. We're in Alabama and I'm a super hot sleeper and our Tempurpedic mattress doesn't exactly help with the cooling either (quite the opposite). Chilisleep going bankrupt and having reliability issues and everything with them just sort of being a huge mess right now only leaves 8Sleep and for that price, I'm out. I can just throw the covers half way off and be fine. Hopefully Chilisleep's new owner can sort out some of the reliability problems and customer service issues becuase the little cube looks perfect.
@flochfitness4271 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your perspective! Agreed the 8 sleep is out of range for most people. On top of that, you have to have a reoccurring monthly membership, which really doesn’t fit with this kind of product IMHO. Would love to see chilisleep make a comeback, as this space needs multiple competitors with different price points. Ultimately, I’d like everyone to be able to leverage a better nights sleep. And temperature control is one of the best ways of optimizing sleep.

@@flochfitness4271 How would the air circulate though if the sheets are actually and fully making contact with skin/clothing? To cool, not so much. Once you put sheets on it, it greatly reduces its effectivenes. It needs to be like a heat exchanger flow system, instead of the air hockey in your bed system. I thought this sounded like a low air-loss mattress like you see in nursing homes for bedridden patients, but this is not that. For not much more than this price, you can purchase the real deal (low air-loss mattress topper) where you can feel the air coming up through the sheets. But don't mistake those for alternating air pressure mattress toppers. With a true air-loss mattress you can feel the air coming from the perforated holes.

Why not put the bedjet sheet under you? That way you still get airflow around your body without blowing the top sheet off.
@flochfitness42712 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thanks for the question. The sheet is designed to go on top of the user. If you are lying on top, it blocks the airflow (think of a kink in a hose). Hope this helps!

@geegeezlouis86 Жыл бұрын
I decided not to buy one and instead made my own. It's not perfect, but I'm happy I didn't spend that much money on something isn't the total solution I'm looking for. I bought a metal dryer vent duct at Lowes, cut it to size (you'll need more than you think, because it contracts as you bend it), flattened one end to mimic the BedJet nozzle, and taped the other end to my fan. It's not the best solution, and certainly not pretty, but it sounds like it has a similar effect as the BedJet. I think I'd be upset if I paid $400 for these results, but I already had the fan and the duct tape, so it was just $20 for 8 ft of duct!

@flochfitness42712 жыл бұрын

Great video! Well structured and very informative! As for the sheets lifting off you when it's on, there's been several reviews where this was pointed out, so it's pretty well-known. To give you the kind of cooling you're talking about while keeping the cover tight would likely require a sealed liquid system as with air it needs a channel to escape. But you could imagine an electric blanket as a comparison to a liquid cooled blanket just even stiffer, and no one wants that. Either way, thanks for a great video!

When you say it isn't for warmer more humid weather my issue is I live in Texas where it gets in the 100s in the summer but drops below zero and snows in the winter. I'm not sure if I would mind the fact that it floats especially in the winter because the comforter is super thick so I think it will make it lay down. My issue is when you say it doesn't really function the best by not cooling efficiency. Did it not get air all over or just mainly on your feet. I'm a beyond hot sleeper and I've just been recently diagnosed with severe insomnia so needing help here hahaha. If you can share your inputs on that thank you once again
