Recently found a '13 G37x coupe at a local ford dealership. 87K miles with full dealer service records, last service less than 4K miles on it for $15K, couldn't say no. Interior in far better than average shape, only little rock chips in front, owner put 20" wheels and new tires less than 8K miles before. I'm getting more comfortable with the car every time I drive it, and very impressed with just how solid and well built it is, the handling and power delivery, and it's good hearing if I take care of it it should hold some value.

When I bought my S14 back in 08, you could buy a really nice stock S13 with around 130k miles for $2-3k and they were everywhere on Craigslist. It was really rare to see a S13 over $5k. Now you can buy just the rolling shell for an S13 for 5k LMAO. The G35 prices are getting close to what the S13 used to cost but more like what the S14 used to cost ($4-5k) but with double the HP!

If you have a P011 or P021 a lot of times it is just a camshaft sensor .... there are 4 of them 1 exhaust and one intake sensor on each side of the engine in the rear. A lot of people say to stay away from the aftermarket sensors but they are around 40 bucks a piece for aftermarket vs around 100 a piece
@tleoipl373 ай бұрын
That’s true too. Always go oem sensors but always oil pressure test it too just to make sure

Long time g37 owner here. The exhaust system seems to be very prone to corrosion. Mine has 120k miles, resided in Massachusetts, even with regular undercarriage washing, I still have to replace almost everything but the catalytic converter 😢

Have had plenty of G35’s .Had to redo this sedan because someone clapped it out . Right now goal is to bring it back to stock which just needs a few more things but damn they’re horrible when the average person only cares about tinted lights and straight pipe

I'm currently torn between buying a silver 2010 Anniversary edition with those red seats 101k miles, or a red 2009 convertible with 63k miles. Both around the same price give or take $200. I currently have a 2011 coupe that I've handed down to the wife.

FYI - the gallery gasket issue was fixed after 2011 models, not 2013..
@tleoipl376 ай бұрын
That’s wrong mines an 11 IPL and it had the issue. The issue they fixed was just the gasket material it self but not the hardware so it can still be a slight issue.
@jordanmills41215 ай бұрын
So is it safe to buy a 2013 or are they likely to have the gallery hasket issue too? @tleoipl37
@tleoipl375 ай бұрын
@@jordanmills4121 the gasket is most likely good. It’s just the screw/hardware that has been an issue tbh check the build date tho

Is it true? Only the manual RWD g35 and g37 Sednan only get limited slip differential?

Yea it’s pretty bad I’m on my second dash and it’s starting to get sticky. I’m super picky so this is a major issue for me.
@tleoipl37 Жыл бұрын
@@oldirtydave22 it can be common but it also depends on how you take care of it I use it 303 aerospace wipes, and that helps me plus earlier models suffer from the worst issue
@oldirtydave22 Жыл бұрын
Yea I use 303 as well but once it starts getting sticky your living on borrowed time. I have 2012 g37s it doesn’t have cracks it just gets gummy. I also live in south florida were it gets pretty hot. It’s just a downside to this car but I also replaced it with a used dash that was mint out of a 2013 sedan who knows!
