'French's' _because_ Heinz decided to pull it's factory out of Canada & set up in Mexico instead! Heinz _assumed_ Canadian's wouldn't care.... WRONG! _Massive_ amounts of Canadian's stopped buying their ketchup, instantly. So, within _a year_ Heinz is _now_ attempting to re-start their factory back in Canada! Apparently they like our money? Leaving meant they lost us, ALL! 🤗🇨🇦

Stopped buying Heinz a few years ago when they closed a big ketchup processing plant here in Ontario and moved to the US, We only buy ketchup now that uses Canadian Tomatoes, And strangely the Canadian tomato brands taste better, go figure.

I worked for JC Penny's in 1971 and watched two women refill Heinz Ketchup bottles with CODE ketchup brand, while they worked at the lunch counter. Being from Pittsburgh, I told the ladies that I didn't think they were aloud to do this, they told me they were told to do this, and they did not want to lose there job. I never heard of Code Ketchup !

I was always told to tap the 57 that is molded into the glass, not the bottom. Supposedly the 57 was put there to mark the exact right place to tap the bottle.

You don't hit the bottom of the bottle, to slow that way! Hold the bottle on a 45 degree angle, Now hit the bottle with an upward motion with the palm of your other hand. And dot the " I " in the word HEINZ on the label . GENTLY... You'll be amazed how well it works. We were shown this at the HEINZ plant at the Pittsburgh Corporate Headquarters while on a tour of there facilities . IT WORKS !!! " ENJOY "

I don't anything but Heinz either, when it comes to ketchup. On the glass bottles the number 57 is raised on the glass. All ya gotta do is hit the number with the palm of your hand a couple of times and it comes out really fast.

Easy way to get Heinz ketchup out of a bottle - Tilt the bottle at a 45 degree angle then “bump” the small Heinz 57 logo with the heel of your hand that is embossed near the neck of the glass bottle. Learned it in the military.

Are there other ketchup brands beside Heinz? I'm from Pittsburgh, here we ONLY use Heinz - if a restaurant has a different brand - the customers will ask the waiter for the Heinz, and if they don't have Heinz , they may not stay in business for long. Pittsburgers are very faithful to Heinz ketchup.
