If you want to get technical and say nvidia owns ARM, even then... it's not exactly desktop CPUs. They are probably fighting Apple in that market? Coz Nor intel, nor AMD makes ARM processor. They make x64 processors. Intel is fighting AMD is cpu market. They don't make GPUs, yet. So Intel is only fighting 1 company too. But AMD is fighting both Intel (in CPU market) and Nvidia (in GPU market). And they are close to winning. That's impressive considering they are fighting 2 companies at once. So yes, OP is right.

Just as a small update for those watching and perhaps are unaware 😁 Issue 1: There's now a "Short" AM5 backplate by thermal grizzly that you can replace your motherboards backplate with (If needed) and will be compatible with both your SAM (Socket actuated mechanism) and your AM4 cooler that required the backplate change. Issue 2: AMD chips, Ryzen in particular are very memory speed dependent for their performance, this extended wait time is called "Memory training" and has been around since Ryzen 1st Gen, just be patient, 99.9% of all PC issues are able to be solved. It also helps if the RAM you're using is EXPO compatible, please check the retailer for more info. Issue 3: This is a common issue with all new tech, Intel included, developers will always prioritise stability over outright speed, my AM5 system boots in about 10 seconds on a Gen4 SSD (In the back slot of my motherboard), if this problem persists for months and months, perhaps do some research on how you've got your system configured as there is a good chance it's an easy fix :)

Is that 10 seconds from when you press the bower button or 10 seconds when it starts to post? My Ryzen 9 5900X works really fast from the start. I know Ryzen is memory sensative and enabling EXPO can cause instability. I recently bought a Ryzen 7 7800 X3D but within 1 hour it was dead 😢 so send it back and got a refund. Also it seemed to take a long time to boot up. I am talking about 1 month ago when i bought it. I had 5600 mhz ddr5 corsair with AMD optimisation and a 650 msi board. Still thinking about to try again. But i don't like long boot times or instable systems.

I heard it isn't the bios that's making it so long to post but that the timings of the memory are set to the tightest setting so it can't boot and so it reboots till it finds the fastest timings that is able to boot... Then my ram was detected right away, just seconds after powering it on. Now, when I turn on my system, the pc will, on average, load to the Windows 10 login screen before my screen has woken up from sleep mode. What went wrong? 😅 I think it's the motherboard, which was sold at a discount as refurbished. I am not at the computer right now to check bios versions, but it makes sense that the bios was updated. Ryzen 7 7700x cooled by be quiet Dark Rock TF2 , AsROCK B650 PG Lightning, Team Create 32 gb DDR 5600 Ram, WD Blue 1 TB SSD, Arc A770, Montech 850W psu, Zaman T6 tower case. Your opening statement about the 7950X system being the most powerful gaming pc you can build is WRONG!!!!!! It has been proven over and over again that the 5800X3D is much faster in almost all games, than the 7950x. Also, the time it is taking for your system to setup new RAM is the system doing timing tests to get the best and tightest settings. NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL!!! Lastly, EVERYTHING is made more difficult in putting together a new system when you use a pos Asrock mobo... Do some more homework... The ONLY thing I found useful in this entire vid is the part about the coolers maybe not fitting. So for that, I thank you.

Also, also, if I get an ASUS TUF B650-PLUS and AMD Expo Vengeance 32GB Dual Channel DDR5 and I have NO spare parts or RAM, how do I go about things? DO I flash BIOS without CPU or RAM (can I?) or do I just add everything (CPU, RAM, SSD, Cooler) and then do it...and pray? What if it doesn't boot? I DO NOT WANT to have to remove CPU, preferably EVER, and NOT THE COOLER either (like for 5 years+ after I put in it). Does the damn thing start of with Expo activated? And why even use expo...I just want the damn thing to work at 6000MT 36-36-36-76 at 1.35v (what it says on the ram)? Does expo try to get it to work at ....say 30-36-32-36-76 at 1.4V or what?

this worked out well with my zen 7700x, I got a msi tomahawk b650 and running cooling with the nzxt kraken x53 luckily nzxt supported the new plates and brackets in their more recent shipments to work with this new motherboard only hickup was the ram had to change that lol

This dude is clueless. DIY PC is about tweaking. You first need to set the MB up in BIOS and then, when it's done, including RAM, you have to enable the enhanced Fast Boot and bind it through Windows WHQL standard. In this state, there won't be no memory training and other checks happening no more at startup, but you'll also need to do this again after any HW changes. That's why OEM systems and notebooks start in like 2-3 seconds, because this is all done in manufacturing. It's sad that you need to explain this to "PC Centric" channel with half a million subscribers.

Yeah as an air cooler fan I'm pairing one of the big tower coolers with a 7900x, hopefully the performance drop isn't too severe with this new 95c aim.

great video - thanks for the info. I anticipate a few more problems with the new 7000 series. I think I will wait a bit before switching over. I do have a Bios question - is the bios for a prebuilt system generally different from the DIY type build (I ended up with a 5800x cpu from a prebuilt and it won't run on my 550 board) I swapped ram, updated to the latest bios, I did that a few times.... I ended up swapping to a different cpu but still would like to use the 5800x in another build - just wondering if it could be a bios issue thanks

MF! Before buying the proart b650 and the 8600g I got tired of watching test videos, to be sure that the investment was worth it and no one noticed it. I started off wrong, doubting how to connect the source, because there are two more connectors, I wasn't sure which one I should use, The ram led stuck, I updated the bios, the cooler and the rgb of the rams turned on, but nothing. I was afraid that I was connecting something wrong, I felt old and I gave up, I thought I'm going to take it to a technician to assemble so I don't break anything. I reassembled my 8350, which started in seconds, I searched reddit and someone linked your video. Tomorrow when I get back from work I'm going to try again. I hope it's just a matter of patience. And yes, beyond my 40 years and my 12 year old PC, 4 years ago, when I assembled a 5600g for a friend nothing had changed... Thanks in advance.

I had the problem of my cooler when starting to build my pc, got my parts, had everything shipped and checked several times to make sure the core, motherboard, and ram and everything else would fit, then as I’m installing parts I get to my cooler after applying my thermal paste, aaaand my hyper 212 doesn’t fit because of the backplate. Now I’ve ordered a noctua air cooler, and then in my rage I upgraded my gpu to a 3060ti, goes to show you need to double check every. last. thing.

That expo profile is tied to the xmp profile and if you choose intel instead of amd or vice versa you're going to run into these problems. I had to order a new set of memory after i saw your video twice or three times and did the error 15 code lookup which was tied to the memory

Our whole IT department is on the fence waiting for anAM5 mobo to be released that supports Windows 7 drivers. Upper management despises 8/10/11 so we've got a mandate taht if it don't run Windows 7, we aren't authorized to buy it.

Im sorry but how is the screen taking a long time to display first time ram is installed an issue, there are 1440 minutes in a day. Maybe a Joint or some Valium will help those with issues, or some Ritalin if you got ADHD & cant wait a few mins. I never shut my pc down as turning a computer on & off all the time MAJORLY Shortens lifespan. (this is a fact of ALL Electronics period) My Old system FX-8350 @ 4.8ghz has been only turned off for a total of maybe 10 hours in last 10 years over 37,000 hours turned on and still flawlessly working.

BE CAREFUL I FOUND THE PROBLEM BUT THIS MUST BE SEEN FROM A TECHNICIAN ITS THE PINS ON AM5 SOCKET!!!!!!! YOU HAVE AS MANY PROBLEMS BECAUSE THERE IS A PIN SOMEWHERE IN THIS SOC BENT AS IT WAS ON MY ASUS PRIME 670E PRO IT WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MARK TAKE A MAGNIFIER AND CHECK IT AGAIN AND AGAIN..... THE PIN WAS BENT TO THE OUTER POSITION A BIT SO DON'T TRY TO GET IT WRIGHT IF DON'T KNOW HOW !!!!!! AND I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DIDN'T CHECK IT IN MANUFACTURING PROCESS.AFTER I GET IT WELL DONE THE SYSTEM WAS RUNNING FAST AND SMOOTH WITH MY RYZEN 7900X POST AND RUN IN 10 SECONDS!!!! YOU CAN TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOUR PHONE CLOSE ENOUGH AND THEN ZOOM IT THE MB WAS KNEW AND UNOPENED THE PLASTIC COVER YOU DON'T HAVE TO SQUEEZE IT TO OPEN!!!!!!! PUT FIRST THE PROCESSOR AND THEN TAKE IT OUT GENTLY .IT IS WAY MORE FASTER THAN AM4 .THERE ARE SOME FALSE DIRECTIONS IN YOU TUBE BE CAREFULL!!!!!
