Oh looks like the perfect time to visit; right after the Halloween rush and while the decorations are still up. Another awesome vlog guys!!! 👏☺️

That would be such an interesting town to visit! I hope the museum exhibit about the witch trials are there whenever I visit. And those cookies look insane! I'm not much of a cookie person really, but I wouldn't be able to resist those!

It’s a great town! Even if the exhibit was done, there are some excellent walking tours available of all themes: witches, history, ghosts, etc. So fun!

Wow, adding that to our must see destinations list! So much to learn and see while you’re there. As always we loved the video and look forward to the next one! ❤️😄

I went to Salem on Halloween 2021 and it took 30 minutes to drive the last mile. There were 1000's of people and we didn't notice we were in a parade until we crashed into people dressed up as hocus pokus and a giant death. We missed the witch trials but luckily Good night fatties has a clean bathroom, fast service, and vegan soft serve chocolate (they ran out of vanilla) ice cream. It was very good. We got a $50 parking ticket and was threatened to be the next car towed because we parked next to a construction area with the "no parking" sign on the opposite side of the street! Despite all that it was still fun. It reminded me of warped tour and I totally forgot about the pandemic.

Salem in the fall is one of my bucket list destinations. 😍 One day I hope to get there. That walking tour sounds really interesting. I'll have to add that to my list of things to check out.

It’s totally gorgeous! Definitely try the tour! You’ll learn a lot and get to know the town a bit better. You can also find ghost tours or regular historical tours if that’s your cup of tea. Thanks for watching!

What a fascinating day in Salem. So much history. I think I would choose hanging over being " Pressed " 😨. Both the 🍲 & the 🍪 looked delicious. 😋. As Lou Reed would say " Looked like a perfect day "
@KeepGoingPlaces3 жыл бұрын
SOOO much history! We barely covered the highlights. Yeah, the one person who was “pressed” took days to finally pass. Horrible! Despite the dark history, it was a great day!

Before I watch this: My family spent months road tripping through the USA in the 90s and my nana has always regretted not pushing for us to stop in Salem, so it's been on my list of places to check out when I returned to the US, excited to see what you will show us ☺️ Ummmmmm..... Pressed, that is some messed up S#!t Really cannot wait to explore one day and honestly those cookies looked SOOOO GOOOOD!!!!

Salem is so much fun, especially in non-pandemonium times lol. Nana knew what’s up! Yeah, pressed! It took days for that person to die. They would put a board over them with rocks and keep adding weight (trying to get them to confess to witchcraft) until they died. But let’s get back to sweeter things... you have to try the cookies! Also, insiders tip: they do breakfast and it’s called “Good Morning Chubby”. It’s these stuffed breakfast bun things. So fun!

@@KeepGoingPlaces That sounds AH-MAZING!! Good Morning Chubby 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so excited to pick up where we left off travelling around the world, hopefully one day sooner rather than later 🧡Although I don't think 90 days in the US is going to be enough!

Love picturesque old historical town centers and it looks like Salem fits that though you can keep the witch, spooky, scary stuff. We'll have to pass on this one but was interesting seeing it through your eyes. No paranormal for us 'normals' (LOL).
@KeepGoingPlaces3 жыл бұрын
Haha! Definitely at least go for the history, architecture, COOKIES 🍪 and proximity to everything else (e.g., Boston). Next up is Maine!

Awesome! We’ve now made it thru the Southwest (Arizona & New Mexico) and arrived to California this past weekend. In a couple weeks we’ll finally be mostly caught up and only a few weeks behind on videos.

Seems like a cute town, but also very liberal but then again, most cities are in the US. I'm not into witchcraft at all, but the history would be fascinating.

Do they require that you wear a face mask outside as well ?
@KeepGoingPlaces3 жыл бұрын
Not anymore. We were there back in early November so the rules were a bit different.

@@KeepGoingPlaces thanks ,I'm going for Halloween. I'm in texas and it's very different here with masks so I'm use to it a bit so I didn't want to go outside and walk around without a mask and get yelled at.
