Yes, Rīga is underrated, but within Latvia Liepāja is also underrated. We arrived there by ferry and had originally planned to immediately continue to Rīga. We booked a camp site there (not cheap, though) and explored the city, the remains of Soviet fortifications, the orthodox church, the lagoon with all the birds, the parks, the seaside and so on. It's a very interesting place and not at all crowded.

I'm Polish and I'll definitely visit Vilnius some day. I think it would be great to experience this Lithuanian city. Polish people also had a huge impact to history of this city - before WWII it was a polish city, and many of polish artists created their art here (like Adam Mickiewicz - one of the greatest polish writers)

It is ok to swim in river Daugava, there are several official beaches in the city territory, also near the center. The water of the canal most probably won' hurt you as well, but it is not for swimming anyways 🙂 Beavers live there though and do not complain.

Mmmm mamaliga.. i can eat it with every meal. Its so good. My gramma used to make it with navy beans cooked all day with hamhocks then she'd separate from the ham and run it thru a mill making it like a mashed potatoes texture but theyre beans and ya take a bite size of mamaliga and dip it into the mashed beans..and mmhmm heaven on earth. My siblings and i would fight over who got the hamhocks. Because each one only has a few morsel aize bites of the most tender favorful ham bites youll ever eat. Oh how i wish i could go back to them times wirh Gramma 🇷🇴💙💛❤️

I love the video! I am planning a trip to Romania next month and would love to hear your recommendations for drone flight! I've got a DJI mini 2 which helps avoid a lot of rules but ive still seen some daunting rules around drone flight in romania. Hearing from your experience would be super helpful!

I’m a Latvian living in US and those Ukrainian flags are very offensive to me. We in Latvia do not support Ukraine. I love my country and Ukraine and Russia need to settle their own differences fast

No thanks! I have been an international traveller since the 1980s. I know some take pride in how little they can take on trips, it seems to be a competition with some, but I don't see the point. I prefer to feel comfortable having the things I need and not regret over what I should have taken. I also think that those who have that much carry-on are just being selfish, take up a lot of overhead space and hold up boarding.

Stop offending Romanians by saying how Transylvania was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire. Transylvania does not rightfully belong to Hungarians. Also, Hungarians committed many atrocities against Romanians.

"Texas!" is the graffiti name, too popular in your neighborhood, and not known for its graffiti power. He also signed himself with the name of New York and the Postman and was often plagiarized by his colleagues. In Bulgaria, this kind of art is prohibited with rare exceptions, when it is allowed by the authorities in a certain place at a certain time and controlled. For example, the authorities allowed the carriages of passenger trains to be painted. Some bridges and walls of abandoned buildings were also painted. The name"Texas! was chosen at random, as well as that of New York and the Postman.

Spent a day in Reims a couple of weeks ago. It is a very sleepy town in spite of its population of about 180,000 inhabitants. The cathedral is majestic, but so are all cathedrals. Best thing about Reims are the champagne tours.
