I think the best colour for the X4 M40i is the Carbon Black Metallic, a black colour with a nice dark blue shine! Gorgeous! Also, I'd spec it with the 20in wheels because there's the option of not fitting run-flats and inside, I'd spec the whole cabin tech list (Professional sat-nav, Harman Kardon sound system, Parking Assistance plus, with Remote Start/Parking feature and all!) and choose the Tartufo leather upholstery with black stained wood veneer! edit: I just noticed another weird part! No M steering wheel, even though it's an M-Performance car?

Very detailed read out of the spec sheet, but nothing on how it handles in comparison to the old model or the competition. Unfortunately very few reviewers do the later. On that basis I will move along without subscribing, still kudos for the effort and thanks for the free content. Also that snap back (transfer of torque to the front axle) at the end of the slide on the skid pad tells me that the xdrive is many things but not a performance oriented all wheel drive system.

The Germans like their stylings to trickle down the line subtly. The new 8 series is the more "dramatic" departure from the current design language, kidney grills more narrow, narrower lights, and pronounced body lines. I agree, compared to everyone they're more conservative, but it's what makes it stand out, ironically.

The X4 M40D has same 0-60 acceleration as X4M40i but has 650 Nm of torque compared to 500Nm torque in the X4 M40i. So the best performance X4 model is the X4 M40D, not the X4M4oi

and sounds like a John Deere and torque will drop with rpms and what happen when you are > 80 mph ++++ and ..... if diesel was the Graal , it will be no more pretrol engine .

i’m not fond of BMW’s lookylikey design. particularly interiors don’t come close to Volvo, but not enough to be a deal breaker this will be a brilliant car, likely American buyers will be excluded by bonkers trade tariffs though so you will buy something made with rock hard plastic American pig iron and pushrods (which has its charm)
