Im 58 and all I wear is Puma suede (weather permitting).I have 18 pairs in size 13 and 14.Been wearing Pumas since 1977.The dressiest sneaker ever made.We used to wear em with slacks ( plaids, overlaps, shadow boxes) but the best look used to be a crisp pair of Lees, mock neck and cardigan.....yes I grew up in The Bronx.

Puma suede was a pair of sneakers I’ve worn the longes and most often in my life. I have a dingy ass pair of the blue suedes that I’ve worn for 10 years now. Very comfortable shoe and goes with everything.

As a former Bronx NYC brother ( I live in Cali now) I've been rocking Puma's with the fat lace's since the late 70's ever since. I used to be a Pro Keds 69 ner before that with Motnicks and heavily creased Lee Jeans with the one pant leg up B Boy style. Now I rock about 15 different colors of Puma's in 2021.

thats why im here too lol. he said buy half size down? i dont like doing that but i remember mine was hand me downs and i didnt choose the size and they as like a full size smaller than i normally had. and i remember barely wearing them cause of that. also had fat laces that i switched out like every time i wore em lol. mostly random colors but i remember some fat white laces with red stars all over em.

Got myself a pair of Puma Suede classics about 2-3 years ago to replace whatever the heck I was wearing before (I don't even remember lol). Needless to say, these shoes are so incredibly versatile that I ended up wearing them on a regular basis. They go with everything and are so comfortable. Gonna have to cop another pair tho cause mine are already past retirement 😅

History of the Puma suede will bring you to tears. Puma discontinued them early 90’s. They didn’t think the shoe would come back” Retro”. The company saw the trend in retro kicks and LOST the design of the shoe. They literally sent out anybody with the 80s Puma suede shoes to send them in so Puma can reproduce them

I had a solid scarlet red pair in 93. Red, red, red. Back then the all solid colors came in blue or red as far as I reminder. I haven’t worn them since I wore those out so I just got some more today in chocolate chip color. Great shoes. If it’s snowing just wear Puma Baskets, it’s basically a leather “suede” The Puma Suede and Clyde; Adidas Gazelle and Superstar; Nike AF1 and Cortez are all classics.

Black Baskets for $20, orange Suedes $30, the Rhuigi collab for $60(🔥 look and material quality!), and have a pair of black and whisper white VTG with the gold lace tips for $60. $170 for 4 pairs, two of which are limited. Crazy value in this brand.

This year is a tad big. Hope you inform people sometimes other yearly releases won't have the same sizing. Sometimes they are smaller (padded or some aren't but are just too tight on the toebox), some releases go big (roomy). Example is The classic plus the previous year was comfy - padded but doesn't quite hold it's shape. This years classic XXI are a half size bigger - less padding, roomy inside but harder feeling. Preferred the same construction years ago but was more soft.

I got my daughter the black ones with the bow on the heels, size 4 they are a bit big, so I totally agree with the size down. I would also go to a store to try before you get them to make sure they fit right, because she doesn't wear them now they sit in the box because of this. She also has cream velvet ones she loves, got them in a size 3 fit better but hard to keep clean. I think both were out of the Rihanna Collab with Puma.

I wore Puma Cracks in middle school. Back then they were really made out of suede, now it's all synthetic stuff. Also, they (or whomever is behind the Puma name these days) changed the sole and upper construction a since my last pair, probably cheapend it some I'd guess. Also, I think the Puma Suede might be modeled after the Puma Clyde (referencing Walt Frazier of the Knicks, aka Clyde). The Crack was kind of like a driving sneaker and the Clyde was a bit beefier, being a basketball sneaker.

It's believed by some those shoes gave Jesse Owens a little bit extra to run away with the gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The brothers Dassler gave all participants a pair of their new shoes to even the field for everyone. Of course Jesse's raw power annihilated his competition and winning gold for the USA.

I have thery narrow feet at my heel area. Years ago puma made much narrower shoes and fit me perfectly. I try a couple weeks ago a few of puma sneakers and all fit true to size or wider. So sad that manufactures make width of sneakers bigger and bigger. I bought adidas jeans mk2 and They wider than old model. So its not only puma issue. And this is very annoying especially with leather sneakers there is not so much inner material that can help support our heel

For me, this pair is the best, super confortable for almost everything. I also like them for skate! But I have a big question, hope someone can answer me this, I have 3 pairs of suedes, but there is one pair different on the inside, it’s not that synthetic leather you mentioned, but is just like a fabric material, and also thicker on the sides and tongue, so it’s actually a lot more confortable that the other ones, I fell in love with that particular pair, and then I bought the other two pairs and they were different, those are exactly like the ones you got on the video. So I don’t know if they are different versions or what.. but I haven’t seen those again..

Puma makes different levels of quality. They don't advertise that. The Made in Japan shoes use the original short toe pattern and premium materials. The Dassler models are also good. On the bottom of the sole there is a circle 2 boxes under the logo. I find them to be the closest to the original shoes in materials and quality. Ill bet you had one of those.

I've been using puma since I was 8, I wore puma to school, doing sports, went to mall but it was my parents who bought it. Now that I have a job, I'm still saving to buy a classic black PUMA suede because it's quite expensive in my country, around 110-120$ while I my salary around 400$ and I made a mistake along the way by buying fake ones (I didn't know its a bootleg) so yeah keep saving until I got that sleek, beautiful classic black and white suede

Pumas here in the uk are crazy cheap. I bought some gym looking ones for £25. I bought similar ones to what you have in this video apart from not being suede but leather and they was all white same layout etc for £39.99. Personally they’re a lot more comfy than my air max ones, my Jordan 1 high tops and my genomes - a fraction of the price. Also some of the puma collection have memory foam insoles in - like pillows for your feet. Not exaggerating either

I just started buying them again I'm a product of the 70s I have had suede's in the past but my go to shoes have been Chuck's but the older I get my feet can't handle them to long. I agree with you 💯 if you purchase these 1/2 size down. They do fit a bit big so if your a 10 go to a 9.5

They don't run big if your feet are wide. I go up half a size. wear 11 1/2 in adidas pros but could not wear Sueds in the same size. Just bought some mids and they feel a bit more lose but my toes are loving it.

I love them BUT the insoles fell apart within 2 months of buying them!l 😢 I think the foam is too soft and it has just disintegrated with the pressure of my heels against the rubber grid of the soles themselves (which quickly cut through the protective layer designed to stop that happening. Curious if that’s happened to anyone else? I’m not heavy, well 80KG in some Size 12 shoes - nothing crazy - but this is the first time this has happened in my 41 years!

The problem with the 90s thru 2021 Puma Suede shoes are the positioning of the Stripe. It’s set too high. The early 80s Suede Puma the stripe is set low. I have my 83’ pair still and I bought a 2020 pair The 2020 pair just doesn’t look right

THE Shoe. Been my jam for years, notice most other shoes feel tight on the sides, not the Puma-Suede like you say with that extra room feel. Usually rocking the black/white or black/black on a regular basis. Have bought some other color combos over the years, but they can feel a bit too specific to be everyday kicks....but when that time/outfit comes, I got the combo!
