Glad you are enjoying it. Try turning the black metal base 90 degrees so the ridges flow into the fan, it should increase the airflow and keep some of the junk from settling in the ridges.

At 8:47, what's all the odd ghosting / light gray fill on the TACP crest? Was that part of the logo or an artifact from the lasering?

That was shadowing in the file. I have since edited it.

i tried to use old test slates.. they do not work very well. the prev laser engraving seams to harden the material under it and will show through.. from my experience.. i had even sanded them smooth thinking the test parts where just top layer but loving the f1 ultra

@@TKs3DPrints hmmm is and mine down to use again. I start with 80 grit then move to 100, 120 till the old image is gone. I don’t like the way they look to sell them to anybody, but I do reuse them to test stuff.

Thanks for the video. Does this have a switch for power voltage selection? I know it works with 110 but wondering if it works on 220v. TIA

How is the clean up? Is the fan easy enough to access and clean?

Super easy. There are four screws on the back that you remove the shroud with and the fan comes out with it. Don't pull to hard or you will yank the cords off.

Had my F1 Ultra / Conveyor for 3 months now, great machine - It's addictive... I've uploaded some example vids on my Channel which also has some using the xTool S1 - Have fun 😁 👍

Just a fyi the F1 regular if you push the start button twice you can also repeat the last file.

@@samz197 that’s true but its on the side of the machine. Having the touch on a pad reduces the chance of movement. Much needed upgrade.

I have a 10 watt blue diode laser right now and it's super handy and fun. I would love to have a fiber laser and be able to depth engrave onto bronze. That price tag for only 20 w seems a bit high though. I've seen advertisements on my Facebook for cloud Ray lasers and they have a 20w fiber laser for 1699. Almost half of the xtool. Still putting money in the bank for one but I'll definitely be doing some investigating before I spend that much money on a laser.

I would say the price tag for this is due to the Diode laser and the Fiber being in one machine. I am sure that price tag could come down after a while. The F1 with the 2w IR laser was the same way when it first came out. It was around $2500 when it came out now it's around $1500. Portability is key here. With both machines in one it help when lugging them around to shows and other places. Either way you go investigating which is best for you and your pocket book is best. Plus Black Friday is coming up soooooooo maybe they will have a big sale. Good luck on your decision.

@@MoonpieCreations yeah I completely agree about the price coming down over time. I mean two and a half years ago or so when I bought my 10 W diode laser I paid around $600 to $700 for it. Now you can pick up a 10 watt diode for a couple hundred bucks. I have a Longer Ray5 laser and it's been a great machine. I did have one issue about 5 months after I bought it where the laser just lost about 40% of its power. Send the company's customer service and email and they had me use a certain settings and record a video trying to cut something and showing them the failure and they sent me a new module. Other than that I've had no issues with it. I'm not sure what other people's experiences have been with longer lasers but mine at least with this machine have been nothing but good. Minus that one issue but customer service was great about replacing it for free, so I can't really complain too awfully much about that. The only difference being the original machine shipped from California to Washington where I live, and the replacement laser module shipped straight from China. Not to mention since the very beginning it seemed to cut funny. It would leave gooey, sticky tar behind on the stainless table underneath. To the point where you really didn't want to accidentally drop something or it would stick and you'd have sticky tar on the bottom of your piece. Ever since I got the new module, it still leaves a black residue behind underneath but it's not sticky and tarry like it was before. Same settings and same wood. Only thing that changed was the laser module. I'm kind of wondering if it just got banged around so much getting shipped from China to whatever warehouse it sat in and then to California or wherever else it may have gotten shipped around before it finally made it to me.

Ken I don’t know if you’ve done this yet or at least I don’t remember seeing a video where you did but I’d love to see what kind of Shogi board you’d make. I’ve had a black red and orange Idea in my head for a while but I’m not good at it just figured I’d give you the Idea!

@@MoonpieCreations it’s like chess and checkers had a baby, beautiful artwork on most but I’ve never seen a epoxy one made just figured I’d throw you an idea to try if you wanted play boards 9x9 squares
