Use an external monitor with a desktop PC instead of a laptop screen. Connect an HDMI splitter (so the proctor or AI software can’t see you’re using 2 monitors via the PC’s video settings) between the PC and monitor and have the video sent to a second monitor in another room with an HDMI cable. Have someone in the other room look up the answers and relay them to you via a tiny Bluetooth earpiece, or if it’s a multiple choice exam, use a series of texts to make a phone in your pocket vibrate (1 text=A, 2 texts in short succession=B, etc.). If they want to treat all remote students as cheats and charge the same tuition for a much worse and cheaper learning environment, then this is what schools deserve.

What me and my roommates would do was take a hdmi cord and plug it into our computer and connect it to a tv/monitor that wasn’t visible to the camera so that person could see what your seeing on the test screen and would look up the answers, the person looking up the answers would have a hdmi cord running from there laptop to a tv/monitor that was sitting behind the test takers laptop so they could see what the answers are.

I actually know of a reliable software (only costs $15 per year) that gives a user the ability to control the keyboard and mouse of another student’s desktop, which does NOT get shut down by Respondus Lockdown Browser. As of today, May 2, 2022 this software still works to bypass Respondus. I just did a proctored exam for a student earlier today. I’m a little hesitant to make a public video on KZbin about this software out of fear the people over at Respondus Lockdown Browser will find a way to block access to this Remote Desktop software, rendering it unusable.

In cbest you cannot cheat, there is an app that you have to use to take pics on all four sides that surround your pc. And there is a real person who will check your picture id and the app will require you to take a live pic of yourself so he can match the face with the id. He will make you use your laptop or camera to do a 360 scan from the top of your exam station.

What if I share my laptop screen but behind my laptop is another one connected to a monitor. They cant see the monitor with an excel sheet of answers but I will need to have it positioned straight to not appear as if I'm looking off to the side. Do you think this will work?

I have a teacher that would proctor our exams on MonitorEDU and on there they make it so complicated by making us have our webcam on and our phone propped up so they could see us and I would use an extra phone as the monitoring phone for them to watch me and my laptop while my laptop webcam is videoing me and then I would use my actual phone to look up questions in the blind spot. Its harder to do it now but on ProctorU it could still work. Just gotta be slick with it lol
