Great videos as general, but for this one especially, how come you not say a word about privacy? Those all keep logs, require personal data(cc payments as a minimum), have no support for Monero etc. Video about vpn feels uncomplete, without noticing this topic... but still, great content as a whole :)

Imo, it’s kind of a tough area since you really just have to trust that company. I mainly focused on the technical performance and features, because in the end they’re all going to say they don’t track you or save info….but you have to take them at their word and many companies have been caught doing stuff like that behind the scenes…. It’s unfortunate but good point! Wish I would’ve said something like this in the video haha

I went with Proton VPN because of their no logs policy and because they pass openly published third party audits. What is rarely discussed in articles about VPN privacy is browser snooping and tracking, which VPN's do not protect against. The best way to mitigate browser snooping and tracking is to run a good VPN alongside a TOR, Hornet or I2P browser. While VPN's hide your IP address and encrypt your data to prevent malware, viruses and hacking, the problem with VPN's is that they only hide a user's IP address. They do not block your personal DNS address or your WebRTC address which is native with popular browsers. With DNS and WebRTC leaks, your identity is compromised. There is a lot more that a person can do to mitigate internet snooping and tracking but every little bit helps.
