I just got knotless goddess braids for the first time a month ago and I learned all of these things in the past 30 days. Never again! I think I'll go for the knotless Senegalese twists with no leave or next time.

I've never experience any shedding, if your hair is shedding you need to braid longer lengths of the curly strands, braid tighter and/or use a different type of hair.

Thank you for this. I’m doing mine now and I started toning back on the loose strands. I don’t want too much. I’ll try to braid the sections in large section with leave in conditioner at night

Ughhhh the shedding!!! I did not know!!! I mean… it makes sense but yikes! And here I thought I did all the prep by figuring out ratios to leave out, human hair vs synthetic etc but hunnyyyyyy that shedding had me thinking I did something wrong in my process

Mine never shedding when I did them myself, but these current ones I got done at the salon are shedding had, they did not braid in enough of the hair and I used a very soft texture hair so the combo is like too much shedding for me

I don’t understand what your mean by shedding? I never have hear around the house processing after braiding… what is causing the shedding?

Wish I would have see this before i got these done 2 days ago. I used human hair and I've been sleeping in silk and they are already A MESS. $500 down the drain and I'm going to see Beyonce next weekend. I'm gonna look crazy at this concert 🤦🏾‍♀️

Oh no did you get synthetic hair? If so I would try to take the synthetic pieces out to try to save the style
