I haven't heard of the Whitsunday Islands before, but they look really neat! The helicopter tour looked quite pricey, but with those views of the islands as well as the Great Barrier Reef, it really looks worth it. I'm actually considering heading to Australia for a little over a week next month, but I probably won't have time to go there. There's always the future though!

They are so incredible! It was definitely expensive, but a once in a lifetime kind of experience for us! Have the best trip in Australia!!

Up in Shelburne Bay at Cape York Peninsula , Queensland the pure white silica sand dunes have 99.6 percent slica . It is a national park now but we can’t visit it . At least we can visit the Amazing Whitehaven beach . The Whitsundays is so beautiful !

You missed sailing around the Whitsunday Islands as an option. I did a 5 day sailing trip around the WSI and it included snorkling, Whitehaven beach and other sites.
