I love the cadence made a sleeveless maxi muslin which I am now wearing everyday (washes and dries in a couple of hours in the heat) the sewing tutorials and instructions were great. The navy on you looks super duper. I have a couple of navy viscoses watch this space….🎉

I've made 3 of these shift type dresses & absolutely love them. I've made a couple of Cadence tops too. I just made another top with the tied puffed sleeves I borrowed from the Ballad Blouse!

Great video! I made a “wearable” muslin of the sleeveless top last summer. I wanted to learn and practice the burrito method and other parts of the construction. Many lessons were learned. Was it wearable? No! The bust darts were way to high for my body. Now to figure that out and try again. Next time it will be a real muslin, just basic seams, easier to pick out if adjustments need to be made. When will I learn?🤦🏻♀️😂

The good thing is that you mentioned many lessons were learned! Keep practicing! You are on the right track! ~K

I have made three Cadence tops; 1 with the bishop sleeve, 2 short sleeved and 1 one has the notch neck, which lies really nicely. I made all three in rayon challis. I have more fabric to make a dress very soon.

Hi! Wonderful video and I love all the patterns! I am in search of more resources for stretch woven material like the overpriced sportswear in stores. Where do you source yours from?

I've had this pattern for awhile and need to sew it soon! Your navy one is beautiful; I like the amount of ease in it--it looks like it would be very cool for summer. Would I be able to make the dress length with "quilting" cottons or cotton (or poly/cotton) aloha prints (weight is very similar to quilting cotton)? Thanks for sharing all the links and tips!
@LoveNotions Жыл бұрын
I think you could! Just be aware that the drape of a quilters cotton with be very structured - and not nearly as fluid as something like a rayon challis. but many have sewn this pattern in quilters cotton :)

Hello! Thank you for this video. I just bought the pattern. But the sewalong does not appear to be live yet. The link you shared goes to a sew along for the boyfriend cardigan.

Oh weird! I will get that link fixed but here is the link to all our sewalong series - you can click on the tab with Cadence on it :) www.lovenotions.com/sewalong-landing

Where did you buy the woven stretch fabric?

It's the Florence stretch woven from Surge Fabric Shop. I don't know if they still carry it but they have lots of amazing fabrics that would be perfect! ~J
