So here I show you where GAESA buys modern cars to South Korea and China, and why they don't buy only an ambulance for the black population: 1- (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5StnpeEi9x4pac). More to come: (kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIvKd4KBaqeLlac). All that remains is for you, the blacks who speak the most about racism in the world, to become Uncle Tom just like the black Cuban communists who murder and enslave their own brothers
@luissmith8559 Жыл бұрын
HAHAHAHA. I am warning you about this because I was born in Cuba, but my dad is a black North American just like you: 1- kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIXHZHh7ns6ag80 2- kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2GWfn2qq7GWpbM 3- kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKuZh32BaNKGZpo Dad already died, but be very careful in Cuba, because from the moment you enter the airport, Castro's intelligence agents are permanently checking that you they film and what they talk about in their videos, and with people you metin: And here is a video so you can see that it is not a joke:
@luissmith8559 Жыл бұрын
Everything you've said as far as I've heard is just the opposite. You think you are going to the most miserable country in the world, where there are the least human rights in the world, where there is the most racism in the world, and the worst place to live in the world, and you think you know something about Cuba. Not a penny is invested in the welfare or benefit of Cubans, everything is used in State terrorism, especially against the black population, with the highest rate of black prisoners in the world by number of population. more than 100,000, in a country that does not reach 10 million inhabitants. If there is a lot of drugs, and stone in center Habana they and in the marginal neighborhoods. There is also extreme violence and firearms. It is no longer safe, they kill you for anything.

Being a doctor in Cuba is like being a teacher ... a public service, not a place to get rich ... because everyone deserves healthcare and to be educated (Cuba also has one of the highest literacy rates in the world 👍🏽).
@ChewsToExplore Жыл бұрын
It's true that being a doctor in Cuba is a public service, and that's what makes it so special. Everyone should have access to quality healthcare and education!
@javierfortunato87258 ай бұрын
Very true everyone deserves health care. However the cuban people receive no care. Not even balances...no meds at all no insulin nor anesthesia. Bare cupboards at pharmacy. You two need to do better research. Please tell me where you get your info...cause it's pure bull 1:58

Actually quite far from it. They are treated like prisoners in their own country and are not paid anything close to a living wage. I would know, my husband is a surgeon and his salary was about $35/month. No Cuban can provide for their family with that.. On top of that, most specialists and surgeons are regulated and cannot leave the country (essentially a no fly list) and it doesn't even matter if they have a visa or passport from another country. It takes years for them to get the same basic rights as a citizen in a half decent country. Cuba is beautiful, but you cannot have that opinion about their medical field if you haven't lived it, sorry.
@cashisreynero38535 ай бұрын
@shellybellyluv Cubas economic turmoil is directly correlated to the colonial oppression America has inflicted upon them. 99% of the UN agrees that Cuba needs humanitarian and economic aid. Nothing is being done for them because of America. The government cannot provide suitable living conditions for their people because there is no money. They are not allowed to sell to nearly the entire world. What do you think, a doctor is gonna make 100k a year out of thin air? Who's supposed to foot his salary? Communism and the Cuban government are not the issue. Even JFK was willing to open talks with Castro and look at what they did to him and nobody has tried since.

As a Canadian who has visited Cuba often (not the resorts) may I say your video is accurate and informative, as to the general information. We have it so easy. Our Canadian banks cards function there. All of cell phones companies have interchange with ETECSA. There are many farmers markets where fresh, mostly organic due to the lack of fertilizers and pesticides, fruits and vegetables are available. The tobacco farmers must sell their tobacco NOT the rolled cigars to the government. Good work. Cheers from Canada.

Hi. I'm a single woman. Can I feel safe to travel alone.
@Liz-vg1im4 ай бұрын
@@Sammiami23Hi! I wouldn't recommend you to come here alone unless you have a certain level of Spanish to get yourself around. Get a map app on your phone to go to places and try to review as much as you can about prices and money exchange rate. It's very likely to get overcharged if you don't know these things. I would recommend you to make contact with a Cuban to take you to places and take care of you. When my boyfriend came in June (he's american) I would help him with transportation, food and everything because most of the time people tried to overcharge us. Also as a single woman you will be likely to have men whistling and trying to flirt with you all the time. Sadly that's how it is for Cubans women as well. You won't feel in danger I think but it's important to be cautious, with your belongings, your phone, wallet and try to be back home before it's too dark ❤ I hope I'm not scaring you 0:02

Hello, and thank you for the video. My wife and I just started looking into visiting Cuba a couple of days ago, and I am a little confused about a couple of things you mentioned. I am in contact with a Cuban tour company that has set up an itinerary for our visit, and they have hotels and restaurants included in the stay. You stated we cannot stay in hotels or eat at restaurants, but the tour has us doing both. They even bring you to two beaches, and say to bring your beach clothes, which means swimming while we are there. Is this video (your experience) for people traveling as individuals? Or are you saying even on scheduled tours, you cannot do these things? Thanks again, I'm going to watch your Everything You Need to Know video next.

Please make it clear that it is YOUR government who has imposed these restrictions and NOT Cuba! Cuba has always allowed Americans to enter - including as tourists. It is the American Government who imposes the lists - but never check. You have ALWAYS been permitted to enter. And the Embargo is by the American Government - NOT CUBAN!!!!

sites are not blocked by Cuba, they are blocked by the providers in the US. I connected to blocked sites by using my cell data which is provide by my carrier but I'm Canadian so that helps I doubt any us phone companies allow roaming but for sure a vpn would work if you use it to represent a different country other than cuba. Happy Browsing!

That's a great point! It's interesting how different providers and countries can affect access to certain websites. Thanks for sharing your experience!

You mentioned the $100 limit on cigars and rum. Did you actually bring some back. I heard that was reversed a couple years back

Thanks for the support to our channel. We brought cigars back and had no issue. At the farm they told us that they have to be from the farmers and not the government and they have to be unmarked

I went to Cuba last May and stayed at a hotel in a resort and they did not have any shortcomings that you mentioned in the video. Food was in plenty and so was the wi-fi . There was only a shortage in butter and foreign liquor .So if you go for an "all inclusive stay " you are practically okay. However your video applies to the people who do not stay in these hotels and resorts but who travel on their own staying at air B&B's and also to the backpacking tourists. I noticed that most of the staff in the hotels were all dressed well in nice clothes when they were going home and I wondered from where they had all these nice shoes and handbags ! I don't think that they get all these from the tourists. Maybe they can buy them in the black market. So I guess there are some luxuries in Cuba. BTW if you guys are from the US how did you manage to go to Cuba as I thought that USA does not permit their citizens to go to Cuba ? Like to know about it .

Thank you so much for watching our video and supporting our channel. This video is for Americans as we are allowed to visit but not support any government run hotels or restaurants. So we cannot stay in hotels or all inclusive as you mentioned in your comment. We have to stay in local accommodations to support the cuban people so that is why our experience as Americans is completely different. Thanks again for your perspective.

@@ChewsToExplore Thank you for your response. So now I know the difference between the American tourists and Canadian tourists.

Hi, my sweetheart and I love your videos! We are both in the “65 and over” age range and are about to travel to Cuba ( this time to Trinidad) for our second trip. We are both on a fixed income and your budget tips are very helpful. Thank you for that! I have 2 questions. Do you have any cautions about the water/ ice in cuba? I noticed the consumption of beverages with ice and veggies ( typically washed in the local water)in your videos. Also, you stated that an American can bring in cigars for personal use only. In June of 2022 we went to Vinales Valley, bought five cigars, but customs at Ft Lauderdale airport stopped us and confiscated the cigars. They said it is absolutely not permitted. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for checking out our video and supporting our channel. I personally only drink bottled water so I did not have any issues. Now that I think about it I ate the vegetables however majority of them were pickled for preservation. There were not a lot of fresh produce. However, if i consume any it did not bother me during the trip. Also we brought about 10 cigars home and did not have any problems. That is my experience.

Honestly it depends on what you guys are planning to do, where you want to eat and if you plan to go to other cities. I would recommend booking accommodations beforehand though. In our guide we have drivers, activities, food recommendations, and accommodations that you should check out as well. chewstoexplore.com/product/explore-cuba-travel-guide/ We prepaid everything and spent under $600/pp including flights. We have our full video coming out where you can see our experience as well

$1000 for everything (after flight) if you stay in one place

Thanks for watching and checking out our video. Heres our entire video on our experience kzbin.info/www/bejne/b36wZ4uVmJ5rqqM . Are you American? As Americans you cannot stay in hotels and eat at government restaurants. Maybe there are more local restaurants in Varadero?

I have a question about the itinerary. Do i have to write down our type up on a computer of everything in going to do in Cuba? Or can i just tell the costums border at the airport what I'm doing? And also do the events have to fill all day every day or can i just tell them i have an event planned for 1 day and the rest of the days in going to be supporting locals?
@ChewsToExplore Жыл бұрын
Based on our experience no one asked for an itinerary. We had our own itinerary based on what we planned to do. However, I cannot tell you what they are looking for.
