Eating disorder recovery can be hard and challenging. How many times did I want to go back to the „sick me“, wanted to lose weight again, wanted to feel the false sense of control again. But I didn’t, which is why I am recovered now. Here are my tips to keep going. Sometimes we just need a little bit motivation ❤️‍🩹

I only allow myself to eat at night. How did you navigate the start of your all in recovery? I’m guessing you didn’t go from 0 to 100 right?

@@isabelleeder6968 it was the exact same for me! I would always just eat at night, it’s a very common behavior because many people want to „safe“ their calories. I wrote a whole chapter in my book about it and I’m happy to make a video about it as well! I started to add lunch and later breakfast before I went all in. When I added breakfast, my coach and I agreed on a „non-counting-rule“ for breakfast. So I didn’t weigh or count any calories for that meal, which oddly enough worked. It was like telling my brain „we will start counting at lunch“. I dropped calorie counting later on of course, but for the very beginning it was helpful to do it that way. Please be also aware that you could be in risk of „refeed syndrome“ if you come from a place where you eat very little! I hope that helps ♥️

@@HealwithMalin Thanks -who was your coach? At what point did you go all in then? Im so ashamed of all of my eating behaviors and habits.. what did all in eating look like for you? I think many people don't understand the amount of food they actually need to have in recovery

@@Ch103Ram sure, for me Amalie Lee was very helpful, you can find her on instagram. Her website is called „let’s.recover.uk“ and she also has a podcast on Spotify („recovery talk“). Another great coach is Danie van Kay, you can check out her website and instagram as well, her podcast is called „Recovering with Danie“ ♥️
