A great alternative to Datejust, and technically superior at that, would be the Omega Constellation Globemaster. The fluted bezel is Tungsten, which is as blingy as gold and much tougher.

Jenni, I own a Tudor Prince Date Day 36mm w/fluted bezel. It has been in production for years. It is made exactly like a vintage Datejust with stamped clasp and hollow end links and sells for as much as a Tudor Royal. It's sold mostly to the Asian market but is widely available on Chrono24.

I know there's many vintage cushion case Omega Constellations with fluted bezels, and even the modern Globemaster has a fluted bezel which could serve as Datejust alternatives. Though the Globemaster prices aren't too far of Datejusts unfortunately

I realized that collecting/hoarding anything is a mental problem. No one needs 10 watches, much less 50, 100, 250 watches. Yet there are people that do this. I sold off everything I owned regarding my watch collection. I had about 17 watches. Now I have three. A G-Shock, mid range Seiko mechanical, and a grand Seiko quartz. I am done with the collecting mentality.

I was a two-watch guy until I started watching watch channels. Now I am at 15 and i dont know when i am going stop. I wear my smart watch 99 percent of the time so my wife said I should sell all of them and donate the cash to various charities. Wearing luxury watches is the norm in Singapore but I see more and more people switching to smart watch these days. BTW, you can wear your Richard Mille in the middle of the night and you are perfectly safe in Singapore.

I'm glad that smaller dial watches are coming back into fashion. I always thought that larger dial watches were just too big, and I have a 7.5 in wrist which allows me to wear them easily. I just think that large dial watches are akin to the bell-bottom pants and high-heel platform shoes for men in the 1970s. Fashionable at the time but laughable later. I've two analogue dial G-shock watches from the 1990s, and they look quite elegant compared to the later G-shock watches with their larger dials.

I have a Black 2010 Porsche Boxster and it’s definitely worth it and not as expensive as you’d think! I have a 987.2 and you showed a 981 Cayman, but that’s an extremely fun car, you can pack quite a bit in it and will really give you bang for your buck. Will also net you a great interior and backdrop for some amazing wrist and watch shots! On that comment I don’t think one equals the other but the people who appreciate either watches/cars/planes have a certain eye for details and depending on the side of those worlds you’re interested in, then time/watches are integral parts of them. Pilots watches, F1 sponsors, lap times, watches built into cars, they’re closely related to each other as watches were initially tools, but I don’t think this counts for everyone

So that makes it hard for me put on a shiny piece with jewels or precious metals. I hope you decide to wear your wedding watch more often. While I agree with your assessment of its sparkle and flash, I always enjoy seeing other people’s flash and sparkle. And given its history, the sparkle is even more appropriate - especially the diamonds. I would never be able to afford that watch but I would love to see others enjoying such a watch. Hi Jenni, love your channel. Very informative and interesting views. I was in the market recently for a luxury sports watch and was looking along the lines of the Overseas, Odysseus, Mariner, and Datejust and ended up getting a Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda GT. I've only learned about this brand quite recently (and although far from old, the brand's history appealed to me) and this particular model just ticked all the boxes for me in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The integrated bracelet is also so beautiful and so comfortable to wear that I knew I just had to get it the moment it tried it on. These come with fluted bezels.

7:25 In my very limited experience, the idea that Omega is more readily available than Rolex certainly rings true. Local Omega AD literally showered me (well, not quite literally) with Seamaster 300/300Ms, multiple Aqua Terras, a Moon Watch and threw in a Breitling Superocean Heritage, a GS Snowflake and a GS SBGA229 (Spring Drive diver) in for good measure. All of which I got to try out and could've taken home with me that very same day ... and that was my first ever visit to said AD. OTOH I visited multiple Rolex ADs and always got the same story when inquiring about SS sports models - even at those ADs that actually happened to have the odd Explorer or Seadweller in the window. Out of all the ADs that I check out regularly, I've yet to find one that has a non precious metal/two-tone Submariner, GMT Master or Daytona sitting in the window. And also, more crucially, one that would actually sell me any of the stuff they do have in the window ... if that stuff is even real and not some sort of movementless dummy-watch. Can't recall ever seeing a "for exhibition purposes only"-sign in the window of an Omega AD.

I hate scratches even though some might say it adds character. Works well must say. Brings me to my question: In many, many years time; would you prefer your watch with dings and scratches and knowing the story of each or a perfect watch as new? Is it more valuable to you to build character or keep it as new?

My dream watch? To be honest, if I were drawing from all different watches I love, I'd just end up with my everyday wearer: a 34mm AirKing with that white creamy dial and black Arabic numbers at 3/6/9. I guess I've found my grail watch after all!

I feel the same way about scratches, unless it's a watch I don't mind destroying.

Omega Globemaster is in my opinion Dadejust killer with fluted bezel.

16:04 I had to change a flat tire on the side of the road the other day. Before I started , I looked at my Seamaster and thought, "Well, buddy. I guess you and I are doing something new today." lol

I didn't ask a question, but this has prompted me to ask regarding scratching your watch, do you wear a beater watch or just rely on your Apple watch and not wear an actual watch?

White Walker is the perfect nick name for the slate dial Yacht Master. I'm stealing that one. 😆

I like how she said I’m not into Cars, but a Porsche Cayman would be nice. On the hush! Considered the best balanced German Engineered car in sport car enthusiasts world. Stuggart or Nothing!!! Love this gal :)

There's a holuns datejust on Amazon for $67. Sapphire, miyota quartz, cubic zirconia... I haven't bought it but it's very tempting

Timex makes several Waterbury models with fluted bezels. They are really light ant chintzy but a great value if anyone wants the look. As for scratches, I agree! I think the condition of one's luxury watch is a reflection of how well one appreciates and values not only the watch but the hard work to save the money for it.

I know what you mean about blingy watches and wanting to wear more reserved ones. I have a beautiful 36mm Tudor prince date but rarely wear it... it's just look at me!!

Hi Jenni, really enjoy your reviews. How about doing a review on quality ‘’Ultra Thin’’ watches ? I’m not a lover of thick fat watches. I think a thin watch is mush more elegant and stylish.

5:02 Reminds me of the watch hot take video when someone said you only need one watch! 🤔🤔🤔 I cannot fathom only owning 2-3 watches (watch nerd talk) but the rationale behind your philosphy definitely makes sense🤔 Edit: 14:31 Check out the Tudor Style line. 1950-1960 tudor prince oysterdate inspired watches that has a lot of different varients. The movement inside is an ETA 2824 movement and they come at around 2000 USD. 🤔

I'm planning to cull my collection quite a bit. I've never really sold any, but I'm upscaling. I'd rather have fewer nicer watches than many I can't wear regularly.
