Your parts are really neat, amazing transformation. You should try oil only on damp to retwist. Will result in less lint and build up in the long run. Organic Flaxseed gel is good curlmix does one. You can also make it yourself. I've recently started using setting foam since April and it's good so far. I have fine 4c hair. You'd have to wash his hair with washing up liquid to get out that Jam.

@kgigjdjsuazhzhsnjszs
@kgigjdjsuazhzhsnjszs 4 жыл бұрын
@@tiasharay247 The white spots in her braids seen in various locations throughout the video (like at 1:46 for example) are clumps of buildup from products that sit in the cuticle, like conditioner or gel. If you want to use gel in your locs by all means be my guest, but using heavy products like gel in locs will not only cause build up but can lead to traction alopecia because they weigh the locs down and literally pull them off your edges. Oil and water work just fine to retwist/palm roll locs. I'm simply trying to help this person save their beautiful locs from any further buildup as well as their future edges. It's not worth the hard to remove buildup and edge loss just to have 'longer lasting' re twists using harmful products, but once again that's up to you. Locs are meant to be a low maintenance hairstyle tho, just saying.

I've always retwisted my locs with gel but I never had any apparent build up, I don't know if it's because I do an ACV rince every 6 month, or If it's because I use Natural Homemade Flax seed gel ? 🤔 But I do remember having a little bit of build up at the beginning stage of my locs when I was using Eco styling Gel, (I know it's bad for your locs) 👀
@kgigjdjsuazhzhsnjszs
@kgigjdjsuazhzhsnjszs 4 жыл бұрын
@@lucgustave5408 It's probably the AVC rinse. I hear it's great and does wonders for removing buildup. You prob got some healthy locs then if you use it consistently. I just hate the smell LMAO so my aunt and I don't use any products that can lead to buildup to avoid using it. She's had locs for 10 years now and I started last month so I'm just sharing what she's taught me. We're both Trini so I take her advice to heart.
