I made this video to share my personal experience mining Helium HNT with a Bobcat 300 Miner and why I believe the company has left customers out to dry. This is a quick outline showcasing why I think the team has fully abandoned this project and my experience with the Bobcat Bobber app.

they are Chinese company so it would never work and the Chinese courts/government would never allow the lawsuit to happen nor would any bobcat ceo/employers have to show up in any US court and act like nothing ever happen.

Wow, this swcks. I wanted to set up one not to mine or make money, but just because there is no coverage over my house at all, for my motorcycle GPS anti-theft protectors. Even though there is sketchy to no coverage where I live in the stix, until you get into a city... it would be nice for my own hot spot to know when I got home. Which hotspot do you recommend in 2024. I want something used and dirt cheap, like under 30 bucks. It looks like I'd have to reregister it costing another 40 bucks... which makes me wonder... why would anybody ever set up one of these, even if they are a techie propellor head like me willing to pay the cost just to have fun installing some new tech on their network?

I own one. I regret it. BTW.. their support page is not working either. I live too far up in the hills.. and I even got an 8dbi antenna.. but only for being online has it earned anything. Never have connected to any others in the past couple of years. I'm bummed. I'd defineately sign up for a class action suit if ever one exists.

Yep I got scammed I bought 40 bobcats. I've learned my lesson don't ever buy more than two of anything from any project. I bought two dash cams. And I made a lot of money. And then as soon as everybody got their cameras. Now I don't make hardly any money. Live and learn

The founders mined 90% of the coins in the first year. They did spoofing and everything else they tell you NOT to do. Since they hold all the HNT and if they dump it the price will tank. That's why they moved to solana. That keeps the value of hnt more stable so they can slowly sell it while not tanking the price of HNT

got into the project a bit late but still a high price to get 1. I bought a whole set with extra outside antenna for US$1000. Oh boy what a bad investment that was. in the past 2,5 year I've only made US$90,-

Ordered mine prior to pandemic/quarantine took almost a year before it arrived. By then the price of helium hit bottom. I too bought a nice antenna and spent 1K+ on the whole set up. With the uptick in helium, I'm now at $125. ROI was suppose to be 4 months. now can't get it too witness.

I’m guessing because they switched to the Solana blockchain and HNT is not compatible.

All the miners (all manufacturers) that mined HNT now mine IoT tokens that are convertible to HNT in the new helium wallet (old wallet lacks functionality). You need a few cents worth of Solana for the gas fees. But it all works fairly quickly since Helium migrated to the SOL blockchain

I bought the Bobcat 300 in 2021 and it took 8 months to arrived. Once it arrived, they switch over to another device. Wasted $500 and a time. I had it connected the whole hope that I may get lucky. If I made any crypto, I not even sure how to retrieve it. Bobber app is trash like Holden said.

They pulled the plug the miners are useless.. It crashed over a year ago. I made right around 380$ that was it .. We go in late. Friends of mines made close to 6 figures previous years.

One of my miners is down and I have not been able to diagnose or reboot it because their app is trash. I tried contacting Bobber and it is like writing to Santa. If anyone knows a way around to reboot a bobcat 300 miner miner let me know.

If it’s connected to your internet, find the bobcat IP address, type into a web browser, and you’ll have some troubleshooting/reset options. Might not help tho. I have a bobcat 300 I’m trying to get working, and it’s connected and asserted, but no inbound/outbound activity. The original blue app has some additional troubleshooting features or wifi, etc. Good luck

I can mine IOT with mine but you can’t mine HNT on your Bobcat anymore. & Bobber app is likely never going to be fixed. Seems like they left the project. Doesn’t mean HNT is dead but Bobcat as a company looks like they took the money and ran (from my research)

I bought 4 of them -- just inherited 3 from a friend who never even deployed them. At least you guys are getting in with them at $100/ piece. We pre-ordered and paid $500, then had to wait 7 months to get them!!! By the time they arrived, the big returns had passed. Absolute nightmare. 2 years later, I have only made back 1/3 of my investment.

Complainers will never advance manage your expectations. If you thought that with one Crypto miner, you will retire. You’re looking at the wrong information.
