መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ እንዲህ ይላል፡- በመጀመሪያ እግዚአብሔር ሰማይንና ምድርን ፈጠረ፥ ምድርም ባዶ ነበረች፥ ጨለማም በጥልቁ ላይ ነበረ፥ የእግዚአብሔርም መንፈስ በውኃው ላይ ሰፍፎ ነበር። እግዚአብሔርም "ብርሃን ይሁን" አለ ብርሃንም ሆነ እግዚአብሔርም ብርሃኑ መልካም እንደ ሆነ አየ እግዚአብሔርም ብርሃንን ከጨለማ ለየ ጨለማውንም "ሌሊት" ብሎ ጠራው። "መሸም ሆነ አንድ ጥዋትም ሆነ እግዚአብሔርም "ጠፈር ወደ ውስጥ ይሁን አለ" በውኃና በውኃ መካከልም መለያየት ይሁን ከጠፈር በላይ የነበረው ውኃ እንዲሁ ሆነ የደረቀው ምድርም ታየ፤ እግዚአብሔርም የብስን ምድር ደስ ብሎ ጠራው፤ የውኃውን መከማቸት “ባሕሮች” ብሎ ጠራው። ምድርም እንደ ወገኑ ዘርና ዘር ያለው ሣርና እፅዋትን ዘርግቶ የሚያፈራ ዛፎችንም አበቀለ እግዚአብሔርም መልካም እንደ ሆነ አየ፤ በሦስተኛውም ቀን መሸም ሆነ ጥዋትም ሆነ ለሊትም፥ ምልክቶችም ዘመናትም ይሆናሉ። ዓመታትና ዓመታትም በምድር ላይ ያበሩ ዘንድ ብርሃናት ይሆናሉ ታላቅ ብርሃን በቀን እንዲሠለጥን፥ ትንሹም ብርሃን በሌሊት እንዲሠለጥን፥ ከዋክብትንም እንዲሠለጥን፥ በምድርም ላይ እንዲያበሩ፥ በቀንና በሌሊት እንዲሠለጥኑ፥ ብርሃንንም እንዲለዩ እግዚአብሔር በሰማያት ጠፈር አኖራቸው። እግዚአብሔርም ያ መልካም እንደ ሆነ አየ በአራተኛውም ቀን መሸም ሆነ ማለዳም ሆነ የሰማይን ጠፈር ፈጠረ ተባዙ ተባዙም የባሕሩንም ውኃ ሙሏት ወፎችም በምድር ላይ ይብዙ።መሸም ሆነ ጥዋትም ሆነ አምስተኛው ቀን እግዚአብሔር አለ። ተነሥተህ ውጣ በምድር ላይ የሚንቀሳቀሱትንም ሁሉ እንደ ወገኑ አየ፤ እግዚአብሔርም አለ፡- ሰውን በመልካችን እንደ ምሳሌአችን እንፍጠር የባሕር ዓሦችንና ወፎችን ይግዙ። ከአየርና ከእንስሳት ከምድርም ሁሉ በላይ በምድር ላይ የሚንቀሳቀሱትንም ሁሉ በእግዚአብሔር መልክ ፈጠረ፤ ከኋላቸውም ወንድና ሴትን ፈጠረ እግዚአብሔርም እንዲህ አላቸው፡- ተባዙ ተባዙም ምድርንም ሙሏት ግዙአትም የባሕርን ዓሦችና የሰማይ ወፎች በምድር ላይ የሚንቀሳቀሱትንም ሁሉ ግዙአቸው። . . . . . . . . . . አረንጓዴ መብልን ሁሉ ሰጠሁ። እንደዚያውም ሆነ በመሸ ጊዜም በስድስተኛው ቀን ማለዳ ነበር አምላኬ ሆይ!☝🏻☝🏻🤲🤳🤲☝🏻☝🏻
